Don't want to spend too much money modding the Z though. After I graduate and get a house, I'm planning on getting a GT-R or used Ferrari/Lambo/R8. Will need to save moneyz for that :driving:

LOL! Where did you get them from? I'm assuming you'll be waiting for the end of July/August shipment?

Congrats. :)

To think, our cars were pretty much bone stock...what, like 5-6 weeks ago? Hahaha.

Holy Jebus, that's a lot for the first 5 months of ownership. Don't worry Mike, another 10 grand and your car should be finished :p

Yeah, well...look at it this way, the drop will probably be your last mod. I'm pretty much completely done. Even though I'll be getting rims, I plan to offset the cost of them by selling the OEMs.

unfortunatley...thats 5 weeks. not 5 months :shakes head:

ive owned the car for 4 months, however only started "modding" a little over a month ago.

I've still got a lot of spending ahead of me to get my car track ready. Exhaust will be my first real mod after 5 months of owning the Z. Others were just spoiler and tint.

Econ 06-30-2011 11:42 AM

what spoiler did you get?

b1adesofcha0s 06-30-2011 11:45 AM

An OEM replica :icon17:

Got it off eBay. Total including installation was $220

Wow. That's really cheap. I spent like $550 plus install. Doh!

Yeah probably because it was a replica and not from the factory. I don't really care though since it looks/feels the same and you can't tell the difference at all

LOL, I poured around $3k in parts into a new car in the past two years and thought that was too much.

Econ 06-30-2011 12:38 PM

I think the car looks good as it sits now. I'm at stock height and have scraped underneath the car many times. There is no doubt that a lowered Z looks great but roads in South Jersey are poop so I will keep it at stock height. Mine is a DD also.

Tony: You have to cut away some of the plastic beneath the bumper to compensate for the lowered clearance. I did that and I hardly scrape now.

I do plan on doing that. I scrape my mufflers here and there also.
