I would like to see the stock Rays all black with the current "Blue" accents as "silver" Thanks so much and +111 for whoever |
|
hey eric :tiphat:
that looks good...i wish we had the option of the dark rays they offer for the 2010 model |
I didn't see dark Rays as an option on the 2010 Z's. I've only seen it on the 40th Anniversary model.
It would be a nice option though. |
ya thats what i meant i was thinking that it would be cool as an option for 09 model year...
red and those would look killer i think especially with red calipers |

Can someone....
I wanted to buy a Solid Red Z for quite a while until I decided to wait and see what Nissan was doing for 40years of the Z legacy. I saw, loved it, instantly changed my mind. I had plans for how I wanted the Z to look however so....
Can someone PS the 40th Year Edition color: http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...r/CIMG9860.jpg To these pictures please: http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...r/sp3_370z.jpg http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...1251139708.jpg http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/v...1251139708.jpg Sorry for so many pictures. I think this will help me decide especially since the 40th year doesnt come with a nav pkg which another grand into the car which is unecessary! |
|
That's a hot looking Z! Fin is a little extreme but definitely sweet looking car.

Thank you Eric! Well I have decided that I do not like the color of 40th year since that is pretty much what I want to do with the Z at this time is put the Sunline kit on it. I wish the color was closer to the GTR's gun metallic but darker. Well I will go with red as I wanted before.

When anyone has time....add a flat black stripe down the sides and around the rear bumper? I'm thinking about halfway down the door or maybe even lower. You can take the stripe all the way down to the side skirts or leave the skirts blue which would leave a blue, black, and blue effect. No rush.....just thinking again....which is dangerous!
http://www.the370z.com/members/2thee...y-2009-002.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/2thee...y-2009-007.jpg The inspiration of my idea? But not the entire door: http://www.the370z.com/attachment.ph...8&d=1262622470[/QUOTE] |

how exactly are you getting the colors to look so fluid and real? What setting are you going to and changing (in photoshop)
|
Photoshop 101: Color changing
Ok lets get started. 1) First I want you to mask off exactly what you want to color change with the selection tool. 2) Make sure areas like windows and what not are not selected. 3) Now copy and paste 4) now this new layer (we will call layer 2) needs to be changed to B&W. How do we do this? go to Image-Adjustments-B&W and hit enter *dont change any settings* 5) Now you have a clean B&W copy. 6) Double click the layer to apply an effect. choose color overlay 7) for dark colors you can use Linear Burn, Multiply, or Overlay (which every gives you best results) 8) For light colors like white use Linear dodge. 9) But wait its just a solid color thats right! while your still in the affects window you should see a slider for opacity for the overlay simply slide the opacity lower an lower until you get the desired color. I usually set mine close to 40-50% typically but it really depends. GL and happy PS'ing |
