Who the **** leaves the equivalent of small motor in the middle of I 45
 

So i was driving up to the Zs Hockey and beer meet in Allen Texas that a few of us were going to attend yesterday the 26th and while on I 45 NB going about 65 mph i ended up running over what felt like a solid block of metal about 8in x 8in that was dead in the center of my lane. I had a 18wheeler beside me and a big pickup right behind me and despite slowing down as much as i could there was nothing i could do to avoid it :/

Well i stopped the car, got out and looked under and all i could see was a little torn plastic from the front so meh, no oil leaking not a big deal. I keep an eye on fluids all day and then this morning, when i get the car on stands to look underneath...yea more than a little pissed.

*EDIT* when pulling rims i found whatever i ran over had taken a chunk out of the right rear forgestar :(

Ahh well its what insurance is for.

Im actually impressed with the welds on the ARK exhaust. You cant see it all that well but one of the big dents is right on a weld and it didnt bust.

Not a huge deal, its what insurance is for, however ive been in Iraq for a year lol, have my car back for a week and then this. Kinda funny.

Sorry to hear this Man! I know that feeling. I've had that happen to me on my old 240z but it was brake drum in the middle of the lane, and I couldn't avoid it either. It tore up my oil pan, and I was fortunate it didn't rupture.

Damn, this sucks.
Hope Baker can fix it quickly for you so you can get your car back and enjoy it some more.

Ouch! Well it came close lol, the tear in the plastic is right under the oil pan but i was lucky there.

Correct, i had all of about 4 seconds to identify, think about options (take it like a man...[the equivalent of a small motor not the small penis]) and then start to curse. At least the hockey game and meet was fun. Would have sucked if i had made it all the way up there just to have TheDreamer spend the game hitting on me or something.:stirthepot:

Damn...it's missing! Uh, oh...And face if it were that small it would never have done that much damage. Insurance time for both.

Well when pulling the forgestars late last night i found it took a chunk out of my right rear rim...and cracked it. Rim is in the back of the car already in order to take it in to Baker but ill take a pic when i get there.

This reminds me of when I ran over an alternator lying on the highway in my other car.

I was driving a lowered Civic and it destroyed my front lip, header, oil pan,put holes in my exhaust and dented my gas tank. Needless to say it screwed a lot of **** up.

Insurance, first claim so not to worried about a price hike
