I see that 12 hours of GT5 you played the night before was helpful.

The wheels were on point :yum:

When are you actually going to make it to a meet?
Haha, that is a good question. I have been slammed at school recently with mid terms, research papers, and business frat stuff which seems never ending.

First of all, you guys are lucky that I wasn't around! I would most certainly give you guys a good competition. I am a big time Karting fan! I wish I lived in the area. Karting is sooo much fun!
Looks like you guys had a great time. The food looks fantastic too :yum:
If anyone has a GO PRO HD, you can mount your camera like this on your helmet and get some fantastic videos:
I have done inside and outdoor karting. It's a very fun sport without breaking the bank! I do love outdoor karting because of the amount of speed you can carry. In our indoor track in Delaware, when I started, I would be lucky to break 25 seconds. Now, I'm running 22.175s trying to break into 21s to get into big karts ;) . One thing I LOVE about indoor karting is the preciseness. You have to be VERY VERY precise. You gotta have a line, know exactly where to speed and brake and take turns without giving up too much speed. Outdoor tracks are much more forgiving that indoor tracks.
Here's an outdoor video from our last event in October. I attended via a friend. I raced 32 people and finished 1st position(technically 2nd position due to "best lap" policy) ! This last run is BEST 12 driver from 3 group (top 4 drivers from each group). you'll see how competitive me and my friend (s/n alefcole) gets
One of these days I'll just show up to one of these meets  .

No shifter karts. I would love to drive those. These are just regular karts.

You reel him in, he closes the door.
He goes wide, you pass him, he takes you on the straight.
Try to reel him in, you go a bit wide and drift through a turn.
Damn...that was better than most F1 races I've seen =)
