Nismo stune looks good. Hmmm.. I am deciding if I should buy the dvd or not.... I just want to see Tsuchiya driving the Black Z :drool: ..BTW, my favorite part of the video when Tsuchiya goes sideways on the track around :53 seconds :eek:

wow...didnt think 911s were that quick. made it look like passing a buick on the turnpike!

yeah i mean the nismo just has an exhaust so thats only 6-10hp over the base car at best im guessing so its not really gonna be faster acceleration wise

the new carrera s is a MONSTER. 380 hp and 3100lbs and pdk. Ive had the honor to be a passenger during a spirited run and my oh my that thing hauls ***.

True.. that carrera is a monster. Also, I wonder how much weight is added to the Nismo Z with all that body cladding.. I would bet the standard Sport pack Z with Nismo exhaust and suspension would fair a tad better on the Tskuba track...

Yes, the new Carrera is definitely nice, but you can purchase two (2) 370Zs for its price. For that money the buyer/owner should have high expectations. I'd purchase a GT-R over the Carrera.

what of the 370 had headers, intake, exhaust and test pipes and lightened pulley?

+1 and sounded like a bat out oh hell for being a stock car :icon14:

911's have always been great launchers because ALL the weight goes to the rear tires and it just hooks up and goes.

Are we sure that Porsche that took off like a rocket wasn't a Turbo? There were a lot of Japanese characters after one of the Porsche 911 labels when the car was introduced on the video (eg Porsche 911 XXXXXXX). The other cars had numbers at the end of the characters which made them appear to be a 4S for example. Who would be surprised if a 911 Turbo smoked the Z...of course it's gonna happen. The Turbo is also 5x the price and a completely different bracket of sports car (all the 911s are really, but it's fun to see just how great the 370z is...it can hang with the big boys, especially on curvy tracks).

^ negative....all Porsche's where Carrera's, none had the turbo exterior cues.

also i've been inside a Turbo and it doesn't sound like that....IMO a Turbo 911 sounds quieter

My favorite part was the nismo coming around the last corner or tsukuba. So flat and fast and well driven.

Correct. I can read and speak some Japanese. These were all new '09 911 Carreras, which sport a lot more hp compared to last year's models. Some had "launch control" as well. I believe the Grid line up was as follows:

1) Nismo S-tune Z
2) Silver 911 - Carrera
3) White 911 - Carrera4 (might have the colors reversed on white vs. silver)
4) Yellow 911 - CarreraS
5) Black 911 - Carrera4S

So the black 9114S came from way behind to shoot into the lead.

I'll be in Japan later this month and will look for this DVD if it's on sale then.
