My 370z at the famous Nürburgring!
Here are some pics of my car at Nürburgring! :driving:
I had just put on my coilovers and didn´t have any time to raise the car. This I noticed quickly on nordschleife! Luckely I get a hould of a DTM mechanic that open his shop and helped me to raise the car. After 12 laps I managed to get a time BTG 8.41. This was with ESP, some traffic and of course a lack of power due to OIL Temp! Next year, a low 8  http://pici.se/pictures/bYBRhlzZR.jpg http://pici.se/pictures/large/ufrnDVCQN.jpg http://pici.se/pictures/erQPUFPmm.jpg http://pici.se/pictures/pFuhHVNUw.jpg |
 To the 'ring.
:shakes head: and :icon14: to the amount of bugs and crap on your front bumper. |

I just hope that there wont be a "crashed 370 at nurburg" topic afterwards

I am not a good enough driver to go tackle tracks liek the nurburg and francorchamps without the VDC on. |
As long as you are smooth with your control inputs and the surface is dry VDC should never interrupt you.
|
I would never go fast enough to trigger the VDC so much that it would annoy me but it is nice to know that if I AM pushing abit too hard that the VDC goes: "oh hai stop pushing me so hard. NO THROTTLE FOR YOU TODAY"".
I did my first 2 laps on francorchamps when it had just rained. car was trying to drift at pretty much every corner. Thank god I wasn't stupid enough to turn it off. I WOULD of most likely crashed or gone off the track. I mean I saw crashed 911s and stuff. Hell even one of the GT-Rs in our group crashed >_> with the ironic number plate "911-bye" I just don't have enough guts to try and no-VDC track francor or nurburg. I might try but I would be a ******* slug. but thank god the guy that is going to tune our cars is going to take me under his wing and teach me how to properly race. |

VDC does a pretty good job at keeping things in check for sure. I think most people who get really annoyed at it flog their cars too hard... they are too abrupt with their inputs so when it kicks in it does so in a big way and pisses them off. They probably try to mash the throttle out of a tight corner at apex, in the rain, and get mad when VDC cuts all throttle and initiates some selective braking to kill the slide they just started. :bowrofl: |

I know my limits. This is my first sports car and my first RWD car and I lack the proper skills to handle it like people who have driver RWD cars their entire life. My previous cars was a 1.5 diesel renault clio and a 1.9 diesel megane coupe. the meganeas nice though 130 HP and 300 torque. The GT-R that crashed was owned by a 23 year old that got it from his parents. He probably thought he was going to be awesome and pushed it too far and crashed it. not once, not twice but three ******* times. First time he spun out and smashed the left side of his rear bumper pushing the left two exhaust in the bumper and beyond. His reaction? "oh thierry(the GT-R mechanic) have a test drive and see if he still drives" He just kept on going and then flew off again totally screwing up the front bumper, later he did it again ruining it more. He didn'tcare because his dad would probably pay him. I got half the money from my parents but I am repaying them and if I wreck the Z that is it. done with the Z and see if I can find a cheap golf. |
