Flat Black 370Z. Yay or nay?
We all have seen the flat black Nismo by motoexteme (also here http://www.the370z.com/members-370z-...tml#post364435). How about this regular 370z?

very nice and clean..liking the exhaust conversion..and im in love w those rims? anyone know what brand are they?
I really wanna like it, but I just can't. Some headlights would be good too.
I would say Yes, it has that Stealthy look.
Notwithstanding the fact that flat black is pretty played out, I think it looks great.
Not a fan of the tailpipe set up, tho'. |
On a stock Z, it would look ugly. That Z is modded so it looks good in matte black.
Do not like.
Not for me, but I like it.
Except the shiny wheels are throwing everything off here. It needs black wheels with some gloss to compliment the shiny bits like the mirrors and hood vents. |
matt black wrap? yes, great
that Z? not so much... :wtf2: |
Not a fan.
The exhaust looks ridiculous, not to mention that it's a good foot from the bottom of the car where the exhaust routes. High exhaust is fine when you've got a rear/mid engine car, but this is just goofy. |
Looks amazing!
I'd pass on that. I like the matte look in certain scenarios...but here, I feel it cheapens the look of the car. :twocents:
Looks like flat gray

:thumbsdown:It doesn't look bad, but I would have to say nay.
That particular Z ... Nay
Yes but...Needs to be darker & maybe a Stillen body kit. I like the hood.
I like the exhaust. I like the rims. I also like the front headlamp assembly removed for better engine oil cooling ;) However, where the original exhaust was located needs more refinement and that "bite me" hood has to go.
Not a fan of the bumper, hood, or wheels. But aside from those things it doesn't look to bad at all
With aftermarket wheels/suspension this will look good.
OEM, not so much. |
Looks alright to me but this look is a bit "done" already. The tailpipes are
I think the wheel color should match the car, the white clashes with the black theme a bit too much. That exhaust is crazy, not sure if I love it or hate it... very very unique...
Flat Orange would be awesome, but I'm weird like that. :)
looks more flat primer than flat black
wheels look sweet
It looks like something for a Bat Man movie!
Not too bad. Maybe if the wheels were a different color that continued with the theme. The exahust thing is a nice concept but looks (and very well might be) incomplete. The body need a bit more to pull off the look I think. Maybe a very subtle and color matched lip kit.
Personally, I kinda dig this look, but only on older cars. Like say an old datsun or maybe an FC mazda. I always wondered with this paint; are they more difficult to keep up with in terms of cleaning? They look like fingerprint magnets to me. |
I saw a flat black G37 today, didn't like it. I just think cars that are flat black look unfinished.
Yeah, I've seen matte Lambo SVs and Audi R8s and neither one looked as good as I expected. Its a cool idea, but I just never seem to fully like it.

Yeah it might have been that.
Don't like the hood....yuk
Hood is gaudy as HELL, wheels are even worse. Other than that....meh, nothing particularly exciting. Exhaust will probably melt the fascia :-p haha. Good thing it'll be a show-car queen.
That is one bad ace Z. i am loving it and the rims are sweet. Who makes em?

Varis cooling bonnet(fairlady-z z34/z370)
Saw this pic at another blog today. It was listed under VARIS COOLING BONNET(FAIRLADY-Z Z34/Z370)

Sorry but nah!!
Why don't you set a trend and use flat military tan instead?
