I know this is kinda repeat information but this is all I could find at this moment. I kinda feel like getting "blue balled" by Nissan if this is all they are going to release.

Just last week Nissan released the first official image of the upcoming 2009 370Z Coupe, which is set to make its world debut at this month’s Los Angeles Auto Show, and now details of the car have emerged courtesy of the show's site. The new info reveals the car will feature a seven-speed automatic gearbox and a six-speed manual equipped with the world's first rev-matched downshift function.

The all-new 370Z is the first full redesign of the iconic Nissan Z since the introduction of the previous generation model back in 2003, and it is set to go on sale early next year as a 2009 model. The new model is expected to be somewhat shorter and trimmer than the current car, accentuating the flared wheel-arches and short overhangs even further.

The biggest change, however, will be the introduction of Nissan’s latest 3.7L VQ37VHR V6 engine in the Z as confirmed by the 2009 model’s new name. This is the same engine as found in the Infiniti G37 Coupe, and in the new Z-car application, it will make 332hp (247kW). Torque should be close to the 366Nm (270lb-ft) of torque the engine generates in the G37. The innovative rev-matching downshift feature on the six-speed manual transmission is sure to draw both praise and complaints, as enthusiasts lose one more aspect of control over the car.

Also new is the rear quarter panel area around the hatch, where the window line sweeps upward, giving the car a bit of a familial resemblance to the sword-like design of the GT-R. The real-life photos show the design clearly, and come courtesy of The 370Z forums, where an aficionado with a quick lens captured the car at what looks to be an enthusiast reveal session in Europe.

One of the biggest criticisms of the current 350Z is its drab interior and poor quality materials, however the interior shot reveals that Nissan has added nicer plastics and extra color options for the cabin. Other changes include the shark fin-style headlamps and LED daytime running lights.

Nissan thinks the new Z will have what it takes to contend with the Porsche Cayman, and it's already said it will be targeting the German sports carmaker with its latest coupe. If you look closely at the spy video below you'll notice Nissan was testing the 370Z back to back with a BMW Z4m Coupe, and a Porsche Cayman S.
