Asheth 02-18-2009 09:06 AM

Hmmm ok from what I see either the first time the Z messed up shifting or he baited him in. But yea nice video

CrownR426 02-18-2009 09:36 AM

Nice video.
I think the z guys messed up shifting.
Damn that Z looks spicey ticey!

BanningZ 02-18-2009 10:20 AM

First roll he miss shifted, second roll he braked for some reason, third roll seemed like he was just playing around.

Does anyone know the owner of that Z?

CrownR426 02-18-2009 10:22 AM

Right?
He's definetly on this forum and he's ashamed!

batman_4 02-18-2009 09:42 PM

Z driver needs more time with his car. that RSX-S was quick though, what are the mods?

frost 02-18-2009 09:46 PM

I wouldn't fess up to that if I were him, lol.

RCZ 02-18-2009 10:36 PM

Quickly, keep Capo out of this thread, he can't see that all that BS we told him about being responsible just flew out the window.

Love modded vs stock races..they make so much sense.

The RSX sounded turbo'd... I don't know much about Acuras, but I know that sound really well. Are RSX-S's turbo cars?

NO, naturally aspirated.

Looks like intake, race header, exhaust and intake manifold (possibly Civic SI, or accord euro)

not a bad vid tho, the RSX's sound healthy. So far I like the Z in stock form

sktvietdragon 02-19-2009 03:03 AM

^hes right

BanningZ 02-19-2009 03:38 AM

The "WIN" that exists in a RSX-s or a Celica GTS is weight.

Its hard to keep an RSX street legal with any major HP gains, that or you've got to drop a $h1T ton of money into it, same with the Celica, although the RSX has WAY more support out there.

Edit:
Stock:
RSX-S: Curb Weight : 2769-2840 lbs 200-210HP@ 7800 rpm
Celi GTS: Curb Weight : 2500-2580 lbs 180HP@7600

Crash 02-19-2009 03:50 AM

I guess it's the intake I'm hearing. It's a loud whistle.

batman_4 02-19-2009 04:11 AM

^ yea those things sound mean as heck w/intake + race header.

this race is very understandable, those newer RSX's are mighty powerful with those mods listed....i know they can beat a 350Z without much trouble

Crash 02-19-2009 04:33 AM

Exactly the reason my 370 isn't even going to be CLOSE to stock. I've been contemplating that GTM sleeved block too. LOL I'd like to have the car tuned to 800HP when I get the turbo kit.

why?

Ryan@IP 02-19-2009 08:23 AM

I thought the RSX was the fastest car in the world? :rofl2:

Or am I on the wrong forum.. :(

BanningZ 02-19-2009 09:00 AM

My Celica runs 1546hp with only a shot of Diet DR. Pepper

Stop roiding up your car! :driving:
Btw I know its random but has anyone test driven the Caymen S?

Mental Block 02-19-2009 07:53 PM

I used to own a Celica GT-S. Really fun high-revving car to drive and sounds like a crotch rocket when it hits lift (I had an AEM intake on it). The auto GT-S was slow as hell and had little hope of ever being fast due to very poor gearing, but the manual has pretty good potential. Too bad the aftermarket isn't nearly on-par with the RSX.

but why get a 370z and try to get that kind of power? I guess balanced ride wont matter anymore at that point?
