Truck beds just build a pocket of air resulting in better aerodynamics. Perhaps the interior of the Z would do the same.

older targa's were the same way jae, supra MkIV (which even had back seats) for instance so it can't be that much of an issue. top off is for cruising and shows, top on is for racing anyway :)

It doesn't on the Corvette.

Actually, aerodynamically speaking, there is a small boundary layer of air maybe an inch or two thick around the car as it drives along that is between the slipstream and car, so the air will mostly flow right over the top and continue down the back.

yup i bet there is a small difference in drag but i bet it's negligible in comparison

Mike, I can't tell you how sweet that looks. We thank you so very much!.....

Now, since I think we are the only ones that have first hand experience with wind turbulence.... When Amy and I were leaving Z1 Motorsports (ZNationals), I took it up to 80 mph on Villa Rica Hwy, (for the po-po out there - I was just dreaming I could take it up to 80 mph on the Villa Rica Hwy.) anyway, and it was way quieter than our Z32 t-top. We could not believe it. In our z32 Amy would need a headband, but with the targa she could get away not wearing one. I thought for sure we would need those air deflectors that you see on the z32 or even sun roofs, but we do not. Now, all our stuff was not in the back either, but from what was told to me it would be more airflow with the hatchback gutted like it is. So, with all our stuff back there, it should be better. Watch me eat those words! :(

^^ Props for the T-tops! Now make it look like the drool worthy Z that AK posted

Also i think that bar should be painted black, would look cleaner. Just an opinion.

Ztarga, did you get anymore pics of your car at SEMA? I'm dying to see the finished top.
