40th Anniversary Graphite versus Platinum Graphite

My local Nissan dealer just received a 40th Anniversary 370Z. Naturally I had to go check it out. I really like the 40th Graphite color. Here are some shots of it with my Platinum Graphite 370Z. It's interesting how both cars look different depending on the lighting.

The 40th looks suspiciously like Infiniti's new Smokey Quartz color--what's the paint code number??

NewlyIMPORTed 03-21-2010 07:18 PM

nice post +1 i have wanted to see these together

ZPirate 03-21-2010 07:36 PM

Thanks! I did too.

PapoZalsa 03-21-2010 07:57 PM

That graphite from the 40th looks almost black.

LateralG'z 03-21-2010 08:42 PM

Thanks! My car sits about an inch lower than stock now. Not sure I want to go any lower.

Wow wow wow!!!
Nice to see this comparision, I believe most of us were thinking on how a PG looks like VA a 40th aniversary.

I'm will go PG with 40th aniversary rims.

Awesome thread . I have been wanting to see this for while now too. OMG those 40th calipers are must have!

seriously, I wouldn't mind waking up to any of these. I do like the 40th a little more because of the awesome rims and caliper combo. VERY desirable. Your PG looks really good because of your tastefully done mods (those rims ;) )

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. I agree with you about the rims. PG with those 40th Anniversary Smoke rims would be nice. It would be similar to what I did with my Formula Silver Volks, but the 40th Anniversary rims seem to be a touch darker.

Thanks AK! I had really been wanted to see how PG and the 40th Graphite compared. So when I found out my local dealer had the 40th Anniversary I had to do it.

I really like the red calpers too. They really stand out. And the darker wheels do look nice too.

Ok... Edit,

I was reading and couldn't understand what I said for a moment...

I was supposed to say how a PG will looks VS a 40th aniversary instead of VA?? And instead of I'm will go PG with 40th, it is supposed to say I will go with PG, etc etc etc..

F'ng iPhone, always want to speak before I do.... :icon14:

Ok, sorry, back to topic.

Rasengan 03-24-2010 01:30 PM

i've seen the 40th up close, it's a REALLY nice color and the wheels are very elegant looking in person...the colors really do go great together except, imo, the red brakes...i usually love red brake calipers but on the 40th it just sticks out...i would've just kept them Sport black and then paint the door handles black as well and you got a sick combo...had i been given the choice, i may have slanted a little more towards 40th anniversary color over my PG and i may not have invested in the Nismos and kept the stock 40th Rays because the color is really that nice!

areyouin729 03-25-2010 07:58 AM

I like them both but prefer the 40th Anniv.

Maybe it's just in my head that it is limited or maybe I really like it more...either way I wouldn't complain driving either one

although black is the best color :p

djpathfinder 03-25-2010 08:37 AM

I prefer the 40th, but I'm biased.

370Zsteve 03-25-2010 08:40 AM

I can't believe that dealer put their decal on the back of that Z. That would be a deal-killer for me. :shakes head:

djpathfinder 03-25-2010 09:00 AM

But you can easily remove that after you make the deal. I don't know why some dealers insist on placing their sticker on the car. most people peel them off when they get home anyways. Word of mouth referrals are much more effective.

I'd have them remove it. And I would inspect for scratches before I bought that gorgeous car.

Hi guys, newbie from the UK, out of interest your PG is known as Titanium Grey over here, strange how nissan change the colour names depending on country/ continent. Here some shots of my 2010 beauty.

I agree with you guys about the dealer putting it's decal on the car, but I wouldn't let them remove it if it was already there. A hair dryer and some water will take it right off. If the dealer takes it off they are bound to mess up the paint.

That's right...if you want something done right, do it yourself!
