40th Anniversary Edition in person
Pics guys! Found a 40th anniversary edition 370z at the local Nissan dealership. I stop by every once in a while because they go through Nissan GTRs rather quick, so I like to look around. Good stuff.'
The sky was overcast (dark at noon) and my car is platinum graphite. Notice how dark the 40th edition is compared to my "dark" silver car. Rep please! Lol. http://www.the370z.com/members/equin...t-my-nismo.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/equin...t-my-nismo.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/equin...t-my-nismo.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/equin...t-my-nismo.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/equin...t-my-nismo.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/equin...t-my-nismo.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/equin...t-my-nismo.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/equin...t-my-nismo.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/equin...t-my-nismo.jpg Also, props to Bondy's Nissan of Dothan, AL. If anyone calls them about this car, tell them a guy in a Nismo stopped and took pictures, and shared them online lol. |
That looks good. I like that colour.
The computerize pics made it look purple'ish....lol |

Hmm not sure what to think. I liked it in the press photos but when sitting side by side to PG I think I like the PG more. Those dark wheels def cheapen the look of the car imo.
|
PG looks far superior to the 40th.
I think outside the fluorescent lights, the color is dull. Always liked the red calipers though. |
I like that color, esp. the "gunmetal" rims...
|
reminds me of the premium edition for the gtr. so dark!
|
Hmmm....if the Nismo version had that color option....would of jumped all over that.
Still nice 40th model....but wished there were more "upgrade" to justify the designation. |
IMO, color kinda looks purply maybe just the pics. And the color of the rims make them look dirty. Just not a big time fan of the 40th annys.

I still for the life of me cannot figure out why they opted to not include the nav. It seems to me that the demographic of customer who would shell out the extra money for the exclusivity of the 40th anniversary edition would also want a fully loaded car with nav. In fact, the only reason why I would not really consider it is because it does not have nav but instead has the stock bose, making it even more difficult to replace with an aftermarket nav.
They really should do a market survey before launching these special edition versions. Also for some reason, I think the japanese version has navigation, as does the japanese Nismo. |

What makes me scratch my head even more is if you go to Nissan Cars, Hybrid, Trucks, Crossovers, SUVs | NOW Sales Event | Nissan USA you can configure the 40th anni model with nav. Either way, makes absolutely no sense!! |
To me, Platinum Graphite looks a lot better. I do like the red interior -- it spices up the interior quite a bit. The red calipers are also a nice touch. The dark wheels, though? Sorry, I don't get it. I think silver wheels whould actually pull off that color better. Imagine the stock Nismo wheels with that color. That would be nice.
|
I will stop by there next time I'm down there. My in-laws are right down the road from that dealership!
BTW, Your car looks better! |
I love it!
|
is the paint code KAE? reason i ask is it looks identical to the color of the bottom trim on the GTR and older nismo 350z
|
Dealership here in Oahu has two 40th Editions. I like the interior color and stitching. Wouldn't mind red seats on my Solid Red but they wouldn't match.

god the red calipers are soo sexy and the darkened gunmetal rays... sigh.. if that waas on my pw *drools*
|
Thanks for the pictures! The 40th Anniversary really is a lot darker than Platinum Graphite, but I like the color.
BTW PG is my favorite color on the Nismo. It really looks nice. |

I saw that too. Looks like bull shiet. |
Looks gorgeous! Though it could have been a more darker/titanium color like the gt-r
|
I love it.
|
I love the color, but i hate the interior! If i could do it my way, it would be 40th graphite exterior with gunmetal rims + Black interior..FTW! I thought i was settled on the Black base.. but the 40th anniversary edition just made me change my mind!
|
I love that dark color! I've seen Maximas that color and always wished for a Z that color...
|
i spotted on inside the dealership i was at wednesday ! they look good
________ Iolite Portable Vapor |
I would pick up the color the the Z first came out with. I don't change my MB color for the 40th!

Just tried to build one on Nissan's website and they show Nav as an option. I wonder if it's true or if it's a typo:

I've called almost all dealership in US to confirm that they don't have a say to request for it. Nissan USA just distribute them to whichever dealership and how many they want. So the customer don't have a say in how to build these cars. Supposedly, the dealership's lucky enough to even get these 40th Anniversary Edition. I've found more than 1 online site that says you can build it with NAV, actually, I've even had dealerships that says their computer can configure the cars thru their Nissan dealership to include the NAV option. But all of these websites and computer don't mean anything, because like I said, I've checked and have confirmed it with many sales managers that made calls to the Nissan Headquarters and dealers' don't have any power to change any configuration as they all built the same way. |
Love the red brake calipers but hate the dark rims!
|
I've seen one in person and the paint does have a purplish tint in certain lighting. It's very subtle, but I really like the color.

Anyone know where I can find a color code for 370Z Anniversary edition wheels?
|
There isn't a color code for the wheels as they are powdercoated - and the body shops aren't expected to re-paint wheels when one is damaged, they just buy new from Nissan.
|
Gorgeous cars
