Took a video and threw it on You Tube... Handed that snow rather well... Un plowed even up some small hills....

toxik 01-12-2011 07:03 AM

lol chuck wtf? does your household have a white car obsession?

BrickyardZ 01-12-2011 07:04 AM

Thanks for the video. I was very interested in your experience, living in Ohio and also having the Blizzack LM-25's. Looks like the car did well. Was VDC off? I need to know how it handles hills, since I live in Cincinnati and there are hills everywhere you go. :driving:

IMWEZL 01-12-2011 08:14 AM

I thought my GoPro cam was recording as I was sliding all the way to work but I failed. Although it was fun I won't be trying that again. Roads were empty at the time but now the beater's back in action.

wheee! 01-12-2011 11:11 AM

We have had about 2 feet of snow here in the last two weeks...

dude thats so funny you say that, I get ragged on all the time.

I got that subaru for so cheap couldnt pass it up, but when looking for the winter car I vowed for it to be a different color. My girl has the white BMW, and my bro who lives with me has the white Z... I got the 370z after him and have caught crap for it non stop BUT I had a red g35 before hand, went to trade for red Z, saw the white and said f it.. This Z was my first white car out of 10 or so.

Also here is a video of my tires at work... videos kind of long and boring and crappy but you get the point by watching any 20 second clip of it after the dumb begining i kept in... lmao

When it was bad:
YouTube - 370z driving in snow with Bridgestone blizzacks

when it just started

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuUpHYkxE-Q&NR=1

I cant figure out how to embed them in here, im trying what used to work , but its just showing up black... they work well!

Awesome videos. Glad I don't live in the snow regions anymore. I'm annoyed that its about 40* right now here in Southwest Florida.

These are Enkei EK2 Eurosports 18" with Dunlop Graspic DS-3 Ice tires. These tires are amazing, better than Blizzaks and work great here in the frozen north. I don't take the car out in snow over a couple of inches, so ice tires are more important.

Yeah, I was gonna say... no way it was in summer tires. Blizzak's rule.

Looks like the Storm King.

I can't wait until it warms up again. I could drive the Z now but I don't want to risk turning the RE-11s into ice skates if I have to brake hard for some reason.

370zproject 01-18-2011 03:52 AM

lol skates at 1k rpms lol

No, it was from Kelly Nissan in Pennsylvania. Yeah I drove 150 miles in the snow to get it lol. I did buy a 2010 Maxima from Norris last year though.

It was used and such a good deal that I had to drive that far to get it. I got it certified used with 15k miles for $26k.

Yup, it's the Coverking Stormproof.
It's doing great now that I figured out how to stop it from blowing off in the wind!

IMWEZL 01-23-2011 08:15 PM

^ Yeah I knew King and Storm were somewhere in the description. Becareful with the rear section I got a slight scratch from the seams on the rear bumper. (Nothing that can't be buffed out when it gets warmer).

370zproject 01-24-2011 02:38 AM

hmm

I think movement is what causes that. The straps I got from Griot's Garage eliminate most of the movement, plus keep it from lifting in the wind.
We'll see how she looks when I unwrap her in the spring.
