My magnetic black Z with SSR Type F and KW v3

Here are some pics of my magnetic black Z34 with SSR Type F, Project Kics R40, and KW v3. Wheels are 19x9.5 +22 & 19x10.5 +15. Tires are 255/295 Hankook Ventus V12. Suspension is about 1" drop around, car is corner balanced so the drop varies.

very classy, fine choice in modifications. throw on a set of H&R 10mm spacers on the rear and 5mm on the front and its perfect.

Great looking car!

areyouin729 12-25-2009 10:52 PM

those go very well with a black Z...hmmmmm

schrute 12-25-2009 11:45 PM

Looks fantastic!

RedComet 12-26-2009 06:43 AM

Wow I really like those! Well done!

MightyBobo 12-26-2009 06:48 AM

Hmm, I like it, but I think if I did the same I'd go with something a little darker. Not black per say though...not a fan of black on black at all.

Nice Shots I really like the Mountains in the Backround

Looks great. I dont think you need spacers, it looks perfect.

j.arnaldo 12-26-2009 11:14 AM

Sweet, sweet ride, man!

FuszNissan 12-26-2009 11:16 AM

Looks great!

Kidcane 12-26-2009 01:09 PM

Looks good. Nice and flush. Tip for the Kics, smear a little grease on the insides of them or they will get rusty and then may give you troubles removing and replacing them. I had the exact same set.

teejnut 12-26-2009 01:33 PM

Thanks for all the comments! I might put a rear spacer but the front is fine with me. We'll see.

As for the Project Kics R40, I heard about the possible rust inside. I apply some clear coat on the portions that is not contacted by the stud.

LiquidZ 12-26-2009 04:40 PM

Great looking car. I thought about that exact same combo for my black Z. Great combo!

B1nks 12-29-2009 05:38 AM

I'd like to know the height from the ground to your fender F&R and also those tire sizes..

SOLISIMO 12-29-2009 06:42 AM

Very nice!

AK370Z 12-29-2009 07:05 AM

Very Classy. Two

B1nks 12-29-2009 11:08 AM

Just like to add that I saw the tire sizes in the first post and would only like to know the hieght from ground to fender. Thnx !

Paul@AEperformance 12-29-2009 04:24 PM

Around 26.25"-26.5" depending on the corner since its corner balanced. it's basically about 1" drop around. i measure when i was stock with the ssr type-f and i was at 27.5" at each corner.

i wouldn't mind going lower if i didn't have to deal with driveways. i removed the sport package front spoiler and the air deflector things in front of each front wheels which helped a lot. don't scrape much as long as i angle and be careful on driveway. i did scrape the middle of my car going over a hump shaped driveway, urgh.

and thanks again for the compliments!!!

B1nks 12-30-2009 06:44 AM

I got the same wheels with about the same drop on my white 370z. Main difference is tire size(305/275) but I don't recommend that tire size..should have gotten 265 or 255 fronts. I'll get some pics put up when I can, I just don't wanna throw up crappy digital camera pics that I take because I = fail with a camera.

schrute 12-30-2009 12:47 PM

^Why wouldn't you use a 275 front again? Issues?

i wanted to do 265/305. but the hankook v12 didn't come in the right size for 265 widths =\

HapHazard 12-31-2009 02:44 AM

Very nice. I didn't know SSR had a style like that. I had a 300zx with Volk CE28N's, and those look a lot like your SSR's. Ride height looks perfect, too.

I wanted that setup too and same issue lol. I think I might try to sell the 275(someone can use as a rear) and substitute for a 255 front..can't decide though.

Yeah the 275 doesn't have any usual issues you would normally encounter except I can't go as low as I want due to this bump on the fender liner that will occasionally scrape. The other issue is the actual Diameter of the tire is greater than that of the rear 305/30 I run so I have to run the suspension at a lower ride height just to get the front as low/lower than the rear. I've got the front as low as it will go and am only barely lower than the rear. Apparently there is an issue if the front is higher than the rear(I can't explain it) but something with steering angle as compared with the angle of the rest of the car in reference to the ground and it causes the steering wheel to act weird (i.e. quiver at speeds higher than 65-70) I've had the car and it still does it but when I lower the front to be lower than the rear it goes away completely. No Idea and I've never heard of this before.

Clif: Having a larger diameter front setup compared to rear causes funky issues with handling.

Great looking car!

The spacing looks absolutely perfect to me. In fact I think it may ruin the look by adding spacers.

Beautiful rims. Simple, aggressive, and sporty....

thanks! i was in between the ssr type f and volk ce28n. the ssr were cheaper, looks similar, and pretty light.

haha! thanks. even at the height i'm at i had to remove all the plastic things from the front of the car. the sport package deflector thing and the pieces that stick down in front of the wheels.

This is just getting weirder and weirder, I was in the exactly same boat with these and the ce28n only I would say these wheels are "cheaper" I just got a great deal on them through Lou as you did !
I'll try to get some pics of my car tonight and throw them up !

Sweet wheel & tire combo man. Just got one question, the front tires exact measure is 255/35/19?? I'll soon buy new shoes for my Z and was interested exactly on those V12's for the Sport Rays.

Thanks teejnut.

Cheers
