370z VS ISF

Here's a video of a 370z vs ISF, think the 370z needs a tune with those bolt ons?:icon14:

Raidernation 07-12-2017 07:46 PM

Wow the Z got owned. I always thought my previous IS350 was faster than my Z.

Z-Girl 12 07-12-2017 08:14 PM

So sad

Ventruck 07-12-2017 08:24 PM

Not to teeter against the TOS here, but from experience I didn't think there would be a major gap. I'm guessing something went a longer way with modding the IS-F.

cooltoy 07-12-2017 08:40 PM

Interesting first post. Troll much?

shaun1189 07-12-2017 08:56 PM

No, I just took this video on my way home today and decided to post it on here, dont know how that would be trolling...
I actually am curious if a tune will help with the bolt ons mentioned in the youtube description, I didnt think it would be that big of a loss

Not terribly surprising... '09 ISF has a 5.0L V8, 416hp stock. It's a little heavier... but as you said, mods probably went a lot farther on a luxury sedan than an already tuned up sports car.

cooltoy 07-12-2017 09:50 PM

You never said it was your Z. Made it appear like you were trying to provoke something. Sorry.

shaun1189 07-12-2017 10:46 PM

I see what youre saying how I could look like a troll, but yeah its my Z, just surprised at the isf's power and wanted opinions, you guys must be right about the ISF responding better to upgrades

axmea? 07-12-2017 10:59 PM

I'm buying a lexus.

s2krazyyy 07-13-2017 01:39 AM

Sounded like you could have been one gear lower to start, its hard to tell though. Plus no honks and the more powerful car got the jump every time.. sounds like a good recipe to getting walked hard like that. Not saying the Z can win but im sure it can do better under the right circumstances.

shaun1189 07-13-2017 01:43 AM

Yeah in that last run I dropped to 2nd and he thought I was taking off, so I got a late jump, I will do another run this week and look into getting a tune.

MCDX 07-13-2017 04:45 AM

Wow, a more expensive and more powerful car is faster in the straight line? Surprise!

You guys should start comparing only stock cars and please, please, please start to do turns also.

But yes, the F-cars from Lexus are nice!

What did you expect? ISF runs a full sec quicker 1/4 mile (real life, not magazine), and it will walk away from the Z in high speeds with that 5.0 v8

Bolt on doesnt really do much on the z. I remember this guy with fbo running 13.3 and my stock Z (auto) did a 13.2 next to it

so not only are you using your cell phone while driving, you using your cell phone while driving in a drag race on public roads? please don't make any more videos!

Nixin 07-13-2017 11:41 AM

Ask your buddy with the Toyota IS-F to meet you on a very twisty road (in Mexico, of course) and see how his blue 4 door abomination compares to your Z?

Have you driven the ISF? Stock for stock it will out run the 370z on any course

DrNumbers 07-13-2017 01:37 PM

At the very beginning of the video, the ISF kinda looks like a pt cruiser...

Ibtl

SgtGoldy 07-14-2017 03:09 PM

Not even in the Z's league. Thats a whole different car.

and this thread will be locked before the end of the day

shaun1189 07-14-2017 03:20 PM

thanks for letting me know it will be locked by the end of the day

CJBinder 07-14-2017 04:35 PM

If you haven't tuned the car you should. Even without any mods the factory tune is very conservative.
