Someone asked why it was parked and not on the road, I replied: " picked up a girl that wanted to ride and she blew a head gasket" :p

i'm sorry, but I nominate this thread of week. Frost's p-chops are spot on!

k2, it really sounds like you have decided between white and silver, but don't rule out blue. Just in case you need a comparison, here is a picture of Tony's, aka 2theextreme. I love his black rims, but you will notice he hasn't tinted his windows yet despite my advice

I didn't realize Tony had a convertable.... pre-production model? With the monochromatic matching top option

frost 10-31-2009 01:51 AM

He didn't get the vert. You know how Tony drops crazy money on his car, well, he had a hard top aftermarket vert installed on his 09. Dude's a baller.

So you actually had it raised. How does the VQ suit the baja terrain?? I was curious because it was either I run the VQ with slight mods or go with a S65 with no mods. It's a toss up, so curious to hear of your travels.

Not awesome. I had to install another air filter between the stock air filter and the MAF. So now I have four air filters with lowering levels of particle filtration.

frost 10-31-2009 02:01 AM

K2, since mine is modded so that it might be a little out of your taste, here is a shot I took of a hella flush Z in my neighborhood. I got the picture while I was up in a tree.

So it's like a progressive filtering system? First stage catches the big stuff, second stage gets the microparticles?

hmmm not quite what I wanted to hear. Least with the M I get a carbon fiber roof. With all the humidity this could cause slight dry rot, but with a nice 8 cyl and no further needed air filters I think I'll take my chances.

frost 10-31-2009 02:02 AM

I gotta say, I don't normally like the hella flush look, but this guy is pulling it off.

smurfblu13 10-31-2009 02:03 AM

Frost that is not hellaflush... where is the negative camber???? you aint sittin flush enough

Exactly right. First stage is like, rocks, wood chips and babies, and the 2nd stage really grabs the small stuff.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you really gotta protect our fickle engine while racing in the desert.

There is substantial lippage out back however. Still needs more camber though!!!

Well that works out well, you have a "snack" in there for after the race ;)

This is extremely bad news as I was looking forward to rocking the **** out of a Z in the baja. Now it is forcing me to spend a lot more for a BMW :shakes head: I'm disappointed in Nissan's commitment to the greater good of outdoors. (should have seen this coming with how they treat the GT-R)

Yep, you also need 2 oil coolers for baja, plus a bag of ice kept on top of the engine during the race.
Damn you nissan for your lack of engine temp responsibility. :shakes head:
