Service Engine Soon Light?

Hey guys, I just got my car a couple weeks ago and I noticed that when my car is in Acc. the Service Engine Soon light stays on. My car is completely stock with less than 300miles. The light isn't on when I'm driving or when the engine is on. Hopefully someone knows if this is normal or not, if all else fails I'll probably take it to the dealer to get it checked out. :(
