The best time to buy a car is on the last day of a fiscal quarter when they need to pump their numbers up. End of the year is best, though not usually practical to wait that long.

Did they ask how much u r putting down on the car? Cause I read that its not a good idea to let them know cause they can use that against u making it seem ur getting a better deal.

How much did u put down?

it was about this exact same time last year i started looking too. i think it's a good time, rear wheel drive sports car in the northeast winter. i shopped around for a few weeks, which i highly recommend, and decided on 2 that i would be happy with. i was sort of rushed since my bimmer was dying but they didn't know that. finally i called both dealers and asked whats your best price, i have 2 in mind that i'm serious about. the white one originally was 30k and they went down to 27. the grey was 33k and they went down to 30,500. i called the next day on the white one, figuring the money i saved i could by snow tires and rims for it, but there was a deposit on it. the following weekend i went (out of state) to see the grey again and got them down another $500 so i took it. the cars were both 2012 and had the same 4-5k miles on it but the grey was loaded while the white was just basic. i'm so happy i got the fully loaded one with all the gadgets. totally worth it. anyways even the ones that i hated the color combo or was beat to hell, the dealers dropped there price. i'd say you have a few more months before the prices start to rise again. good luck.

the otd price is wat you want to concentrate on for a loan. apr you can get better at an institution, stay away from wat the dealer offers unless you know you're going to pay it off much sooner than full term.

dont talk monthly payments, sales guy will most definitely add something you wont immediately notice.

the downpayment, monthly rate, and allowed miles is wat you want to concentrate on a lease.

If the dealer offer 0% on interest rates I would go with them cause I know I'll pay it off quick.

I definitely agree with the orphan philosophy as well. I got my 14 Nismo with 7,000 miles for 30k at a Subaru dealer. Also was winter in MN so that drives the price down up here.

Winter... Found that out the hard way.

My z is an 09 base and yet around december I found a 2013 base sport, same color as mine, less miles than what I bought mine for for about 2 grand more than what I paid.. WHAT THE CRAP! Should have waited...
