There are dealer sponsors here in the forum who you can reach out to. This is interesting, shouldn't the report be run before the purchase? Just another thought, what if the previous owner elected to diy or go to a tuner instead. Also, used cars are not covered under lemon laws unless you are in one of the few states that have used car lemon laws. Also, if you bought it from a dealer, you will have to prove they misrepresented the car's history. Curious about the repairs and frequency of required service/repair. Definitely a tough spot to be in. Have you considered cutting your loss and sell. I wish you luck.

Couldn't you take it to a dealer and have them pull up a report? I don't think they would deny your request.

:iagree:
A dealer should be willing to do this for you. My local Nissan dealer gave me a printout when I was selling my Z. Might charge you a few bucks if you are not a regular customer.

If the place where you bought it is giving you a hard time for records.... Simply go to a different dealership. They will be more than happy to help you and steal you for services and repair from the other dealership lol.

Cars that are bought back from the factory under the Lemon Law are not resold... the vehicle will have a branded title and can't be sold under normal circumstances.

It is a vigorous process in which the factory will do this...the vehicle has to be in the shop for a consecutive 30 days under the same issue. It also will involve the severity of the issue...mainly safety related that will cause an exception to the rule. If there is a buzz in the radio for instance... they have tech lines from dealer to factory to diagnose the issue, the factory maintains history on issues and will share with dealers if there is remedy. If its an ongoing issue...a recall or service bulletin will be issued.
