I didn't see how it was racist. I think some people on this forum are more racist-sensative than the people who COULD take offense who are members of this board due to it being potentially directed at their race...

I mean, the guy down at the gas station wears a turbin. I'm sure in some neighborhoods/areas, it may appear that a person wearing a turbin is on every corner pedaling crap that no one should consider buying. So, there could be truth to what he's saying.

I'm an american, and actually, I found that a bit more offensive than anything else in that post. Just pointing out an obvious double-standard and hypocrasy.

All I meant we as americans are easy because we do for the most part spend,spend and spend.Thats why many come here and make good money off us.

i think what your fellow members are trying to portray to you is the use of slang terms in reference to race specific catagories was uncalled for...

now i for one can tell you there are good and bad in all races of this world...however i and others here will never call out another race in the manner that you did, labeling a specific race in a manner that is both degradding and disrespectful...

now with that said, i know that there are times when we will joke about someones race in fun to them directly in a thread, generally only after we have developed a rapport with one another...but that is not the case here with your "turbin" comment...

yours was more racist by adding onto the already semi-racist comment from before. who knows some of us may be racist on this forum but that doesnt give us the right to be that way towards others on the forum, there might be some one who is reading this that might be of ethnicity that which you were making fun of. if your friends with that person and have a rapport with that person then that person knows you are joking but since you dont then someone might stumble upon this and feel offended.
