Damn no wonder dealers are such a rip off, sooo much for the shittiest crap on the market OEM. U can get twin OS Giken for that price + hd csc. Really 3.5k for stock garbage, really?

Update:

Spoke to the dept manager and he told me that it was the worst case scenario
And they won't know for sure if the clutch & flywheel are indeed damaged
At this point only thing they are sure of is that CSC did fail
And needs to be replaced
Going to my shop to get a new estimate monday morning

zspeedperformance is what i have no issues so far, close to 1,000 miles

Ok an update
Dealer just called me and said they need new cylinder, replace the clutch, and might need new flywheel. Quoted me $3500....
And to no one's surprise it wont be covered under warranty.
Taking it to another local shop and hoping the flywheel doesn't need to be changed sigh
Still gonna cost me around $1500 assuming flywheel si fine

So if you are taking it to another shop, then I am assuming they didn't even remove the transmission? So how the hell would they know you need a new flywheel and clutch. I'm not sure about our stock flywheel, but most can be turned, just like a rotor. Same old story... csc goes bad, and instead of replacing a 100 dollar part the dealer tries to make you buy all new clutch components.

So true. That's what I said.

But he said they're trained to tell customers the worst case scenario :icon14:

I was like whatever

They were charging me $2400 to replace the CSC and some other related components :shakes head:

If you must take it to a dealership, I would have Fontana Nissan do it ... from personal experience, I would not take it to any other Nissan Dealer. Also, while pulling the trans out, you can upgrade a few things, which other Dealerships won't do most likely.

kenchan 01-19-2015 11:50 AM

stupid question... where can I locate it?
I couldn't find it

and also when I went to the car to check the fluid level, this is what I saw....

I'm assuming the cap at the top right corner belongs to brake fluid reservoir...

the cap was off and it was place on the windshield and the hood closed...

last time this hood was opened was when the dealership had it last month....

Could I have been driving over a month with the cap off like that?

wft?

edit: that's the clutch fluid reservoir smh.....

I've closed it but the level is very low

Would filling this up fix the issue?

holyshitt that's black! should be a clear light yellow color like the brake fluid next to it. :icon17:

after you get it fixed, search the ranger method. you dont need anything but a turkey baster to do the drain/fill.

kenchan 01-19-2015 11:54 AM

btw, not sure which brake fluid you're using but my brake fluid is a lot less yellow then that.. should get all the fluid changed.
