Help/suggestions on a cat back and HFC

I have a 2012 auto with k&n drop in's.
I live in austin tx. And someone told me to get test pipes instead of
Hfc's for improved hp. Then someone told me test pipes are illegal.
Wtf should I spend 1800 dollars on and what brands for CBE and or HFC/test pipes? Like should I go with stillen? fi? Or cheaper? Can I actually use test pipes vs hfc's. And I want a deep throaty sound. Plz someone point me in the right direction. And of courrse I want more hp/tq
There is allot out there and I don't know where to start.

You want a deep throaty sound? Get armytrix exhaust and berk test pipes

If you want deep with minimal rasp...
Go FI HFC(non res) CBE(non res) with carbon fiber mufflers:tup:

Well with you being in Travis or Williamson county I would highly suggest you use HFC's. They use the sniffers for inspections in these counties and test pipes will fail. If you live in Caldwell county like I do you can use test pipes but it's just a matter of time before I see the sniffer there. Good luck!

pretty sure his budget mentioned above of 1800 wont allow that armytrix exhaust.

OP just go get yourself a Fast Intentions set-up and be done. it's the best on the market and within your budget.

close thread.
