picking up my car tuesday, quick question.
closed the deal on a 2014 white touring sports 6MT new.
picking it up tuesday. how many miles should i wait before adding a stillen gen 3 intake ? thanks 370z members, can't wait to start driving my first manual car. |
I would wait until after break in at least.

I would at least wait until the break in period is over until doing so. Plus think about your final build before adding parts. Odds are you will throw some add ons and the HP won't be enough so you'll want FI sooner or later. Which means most of the mods you do now are waste of money. If you know for a fact you're not going FI then wait until 2-3k miles and put them on! I just bought my Z yesterday. Congrats

New Car Mods
Remember, the dealer (Nissan) will probably ask you to remove the intakes, and reinstall the stock parts, before they can diagnose any issues that come up. Something (minor) will need looking at.
Best wishes with your new car. I still haven't worn the "new " off mine yet. 5600 miles, and the CAIs are still in the box. I did upgrade the speakers and I'm about to put wheel spacers on. Had the wheels balanced today. The tire place found all wheels were perfect. Waiting for Spring and a road trip to NE Georgia Mountains! Cheers |
Yeah I would wait to make sure there are no bugs with the car...after break in for sure, depending on how much you drive I would say 10k any thing that's going to pop up should have done it by then.
