Sounds like a mesh rubbing on a mesh sound. Help!

*UPDATE* SOLVED!!!!

So i started looking around my car and started to tap things inside the wheel. When I got to the plate next to the rotor and calipers (The back plate). Everything I tape on that plate it would make the slinky metal sound (mesh on mesh rub noise). Brought it back to the dealer and they said they had to readjust it. I thought there was a rock in there or it was bent. So far after the readjusting, there is no noise =)

Hi,

Has anyone experienced a mesh (a metal cooking item that drains water from a pot) on mesh rub sound. It also sounds like a metal slinky rolling around. I checked my springs and its not that. This sound occurs sometimes when i brake a bit and go and brake again (not all the time). Sometimes i hear it when i hit a mini bump on the highway but it doesnt happen when i hit a big bump. Driving feels fine, its just the noise that bothers me. Oh, also I can only hear when i roll down my windows. It sounds like its coming from the front but when we hear things in the car it could be deceiving so im not 100% sure its from the front. Please help or provide any info. I have a 14 Touring 7AT. Thanks in advance.

A list of things that make that sound:

Rusty/worn brakes, bad bearing somewhere, bad torque converter, bad lsd, might be dragging a dead body..umm just from the top of my head right now.

Could be dragging some mesh.

Fixed!

Sounds like a brake issue, I had a crappy sound like that too a few times and it was a pebble stuck between my rear dust covers and the rotor. I did a hard accel then a swift decel and it went away. just to make sure take off the wheels and feel around, just make sure the rotors are cold so you don't burn your fingers. Look for any deep groves that don't look right, and if it doesn't look right take it in.
