Powder coat ideas...
 

Hey all. I'm about to get my 12 NISMO wheels powder coated. I can't make up my mind. What would look BA?

I would take a walk through the wheel section to get some ideas. There is loads of pictures of all kinds of different colored rims. Getyourwheels daily pics thread is a good place to get started to check out some color choices.

I had similar thoughts about powder coating my Nismo wheels.....I first
powder coated my brake calipers in a Inferno Orange color...I hit the
stop button for now...Felt leave what I have or put the money into
a new set of aftermarket wheels...On a hold pattern for now........

The OEM nismo wheels are pretty good imo and fairly light. It would be hard to justify spending $4k just for looks. I would rather use that $$$ for other parts.

I can't really tell from your avatar, but it looks like your wheels are already black...?

If you want a color that would stand out more, you could try a bronze variant, they range from darker to very bright. Bronze Burst would probably be very sexy on a black Z.

They're OEM which is a black plastic coating. I was thinking something like these colors. I am leaning towards purple.

go red.. like a candy red kinda red. someone with a white nismo did it and looked good on his car.

i prefer the hyper silver color or the gunmetal though.

Bronze for black car...anodized for that dirty bronze look :P

Gold works too. It's too bad that you don't want to purchase new wheels because the gold Work VSXX would be an excellent choice.

I do like red but not a fan of the gold. Is it possible to have them two tone? Or fade from a lighter to a darker shade of blue?

Also make sure you get a Mohawk and some jewelry to go with. And finish off with red nismo spoiler and some stripes

I think that red looks great on a white car; not as much on a black car like the OP's. YMMV of course...

Although I suggested gold, I think the bronze that aszyd mentioned would look the best on a black car.
