I picked up my friend who's basically my neighbor and we went. After the party the neighbor and the bday girl wanted to goto the bar and have a few beers. If i had the Z i couldn't do this. Do you think that back seats are a problem in the Z?

hmmmm...ask yourself one question...

do you want the z for yourself or your friends?!?

and presto...youve just answered your own question

Buying a z means being cool enough to not be driving people around. When you own a z, people drive you around ... if you choose to let them.

That's just special sauce. You wouldn't just throw ketchup or mayo on a delicious baby sandwich. It's too special for that.

If this is your only car and you honestly like them both equally get the G. I kept my old car as my daily driver (was only worth like $6K anyway) and GREATLY prefer the look, handling and potential of the Z which I use just for myself or on dates. Don't regret the decision at all.

Agreed. Its easy to tell him get a Z when the guys saying it mainly have 2 cars.
Some people care bout there friends a lil more than others.
When he asked for the advice. His friends seemed to be a priority.
What I can say is this much.
I had a G35. The backseats came in handy when it came to me n my wife doin. Groceries or transporting large items. N people can fit in the back of my G for 30 min road trips. Its uncomfortable, but can be done.
I have an 08 altima 3.5se with a big a$$ trunk n 4doors. The Z having backseats or not won't affect me cuz I can switch rides with my wife if I needed a lot of space for some reason.

You can rant and rave its a sports car all day long as a reason to purchase the Z.
But if u find yourself needing room? U will be trading in a car and taking a loss somewhere between $4,000 n 9,000 depending on when n how u trade n how vested u were at purchase?

As nice as the Z is. If u need the space? GT cars are a Sh1tl0ad of fun too. N fast!
A matter of fact. GT's can be MORE FUN cuz they are not as precise n causes for some real entertaining driving. :) granted that u do it safely n learn how to handle the power. Lol

You could always go with the ever-popular "tie 'em to the hood" but I suppose with the kicking and screaming you'd risk the paint job.

Blown32 10-03-2009 02:08 PM

Can't believe this is still going on about "backseats"?Is there honestly anyone on this site that owns a new Z that would get rid of it for a "backseat"?
I doubt it very much unless they are henpecked or terribly confused.

i totally agree. 2 girls fit perfectly sitting on top of each other i done this. im very selfish i have to admit i hate giving people rides unless is my girl. i dont see why i would want people in my car. im not a taxi driver for people therefore i never debated this. 2 seater is perfect for me
