2015 Nissan 370Z Roadster: The Jalopnik Review

Sounds like their main gripe was the price. For $50k+, there's a lot of other stuff out there.

Limeybastard 09-22-2014 11:35 AM

Maybe thats why in most other countries the Z roadster is no longer available.

When was the last time you thought about a Nissan 370Z? ... It's a little, over-powered, rear-wheel drive monster...
Over-powered? :icon14:

And since when are Camaros and Mustangs "sports cars"?

These are the guys who recommend a Miata for everything, so yes, it's very overpowered. :rofl2:

What else would they be classified as?

Pony cars/muscle cars, but then we're arguing semantics.

There are also some that say the Z isn't a sports car because it weighs over 3000 LBS.

Chuck33079 09-22-2014 05:02 PM

Or that a GTR isn't because it has a back seat.

I would have to agree. For 50K you can get a used GTR, and thats a boarderline supercar.

Chuck33079 09-22-2014 05:15 PM

I'd sooner have the Z vert than the GTR. It looks better and you don't have to mortgage a kidney to afford parts. Plus, you're not stuck with an automatic.

My 50k goes to a C7 if we have to buy new. Assuming of course, GM gets back to selling them. :rofl2:

Super Werty 09-22-2014 06:07 PM

It's not for everyone thats for sure. I got a great deal on mine so it was worth it to me. If it had been $52K there is no way I would have bought one

Got_Z 09-22-2014 06:18 PM

But I love my Z :(

b15 09-22-2014 08:26 PM

It's preference. You can always buy xx car used for the same as yy car new.

6years in and I still think the Z is dead sexy. With spacers and swifts, it think it looks perfect. It's definitely the looker compared to the GTR but obviously there's no comparison for performance.

grandpawmoses 09-23-2014 05:53 AM

I looked at Corvettes. The problem is, comparatively equipped, the Vette is mid $60k.

sizziano 09-23-2014 08:15 AM

I think the vert Z looks terrible but that's just me

mab864 09-23-2014 08:25 AM

The verts look nice with the top down, but not so much with the top up. But I think that's true of all verts. I have to agree that $52K is too much to pay for any Z. I'd be looking for a low miles 911 for that money. Or put another 5K with it and order a C-7.

Ubetit 09-23-2014 01:10 PM

I have a 2011 Z roadster and I get compliments almost everyday I drive it. Mine checked in at $49k+ on the sticker but I bought it exactly 12 months after the in-service date..... for a WHOLE lot less.

b15 09-23-2014 02:44 PM

Z verts have always looked a little funny, especially with the top up. I agree the z34 vert looks great topless.
