When I said I wanted cheaper upgrades I didn't mean I wanted to f*** up my car:rofl2: I would rather just straight pipe than do that.

Also, show a noticeable difference, is this performance or looks?

Well, I'm leaning tawrds a mixture of both. Meaning I am going to be do the obvious "look" upgrades such as black door handles, window tint, darken the boot lights a little, interior LEDs, and a few decals for added horsepower (;

As far as performance goes, I am definitely getting some lowering springs (I'm thinking Tein or Swift; not sure yet) anddddddddddd thats about all I know I'm forsure getting :rofl2: Thats what I'm hoping this thread will help me with. And to answer your original question, I have about 1,500 to spend on performance and 500 to spend on looks (My parents are already buying me an Amuse Body Kit so I won't need to spend too much on looks). Sorry for the long response, I can be quite wordy at times lol.

My love for Mighty Car Mods aside, I refuse to buy that! I can't imagine rolling into a car meet with that :rofl2: I'd have to lock the engine bay to make sure noone goes snooping for the supposed "turbo" that some would believe I possesed. Thanks for time spent responding to the thread though! I will admit you got me to rewatch all their videos again :tiphat:

We actually talk about how to manage them in the workplace. Parents are always involved or meddle in.

Me, the only thing I got from my parents were lots of guidance, a college degree, great advice, asthma, hypertension, and bunions.

Im buying the car with my own money and as a gift my parents are buying me a body kit. So I told em' I wanted an Amuse Kit:tiphat: I am 16 by the way which is why my parents are still involved in my life. Cars being a big part of it.

Consider this thread hijacked! Sorry OP!

Trying to help though...

Most of us start with catbacks but those aren't 'cheap'. You should get highflow cats as well but again... $.

Get a tune if you don't have a Nismo. That will get you 20hp but, you guessed it... $.

Stillen Gen 3-ish intakes add a little more hp.

For cornering get a set of Swift lowering springs. Fantastic value. I need coilovers but will miss mine I know.

You can also get front sways that will help.

The fact is that a Z is a pretty good all around sports car...and is a V6 on top of it.

To really make any movement you need a supercharger or better but more expensive...twin turbo. Supercharger for autocross and daily. Twins for drag racing and track. IMHO.

I'm very appreciative of your detailed response! Thank you so much!

Just messing with 'ya.

Nothing comes cheap when it comes to mods. Lots of great value mods but not cheap. The most enjoyable and noticeable mod among the many I did was an exhaust, suspension, and a tune.

Once thing is you are being very respectful. Which is good.

:iagree: Cars are my life so I might as well put my "lifes" earnings into mine:icon17: As a response to your "most enjoyable and noticable mods" I would probably end up getting
1) ARK for exhaust (Armytrix would be my dream)
2) Suspension wise, I would love to get Robispec'ed KW's but way to much money for little track use (Only about once a month at Adam's Motorsport Grip Nights). I'll probably end up getting getting Swift or Eibach.
3) Dumb question alert: Where would I get a tune in OC?
What is your advise as to what I have stated so far?
PS. I'm sorry for asking so many questions and typing so much much. I am still a forum "noobie" and I'm still getting used to the flow. :hello: Thank you so much!
