Missing my Z

It may sound kind of :icon14: but was on vacation and really missed my Z. Not missing it like a family member, and not even because i missed driving it (i drive it about 4 times a week), but it was one of only 2 things i missed, the other being my weiner(dog) :icon17:

How do guys handle being away from your Z? :driving:

I have been away from my Z twice recently, once for the accident repair and then while it was up on stands waiting for a new upper oil pan. I had a rental both times and what I missed the most were the handling characteristics. The cars just felt less stable and more "floaty" than my Z (with uprated suspension and sway bars). Trying to take the same turns at the same speeds, which my Z can handle with ease and confidence, felt unsafe.

damn, I thought this thread was going to be about someone stealing your Z. I should stop being negative lol.

I have been without my z for over two weeks and it will be about another 3 weeks before I get it back. Its currently at fly1 motorsports in Los Angeles getting a complete makeover! So to pass the time I've been building a Honda crx. Don't get me wrong its brutal but it will be well worth it when it returns. Nothing lossed nothing gained. I can't wait for it to return. I think it will rank as one of the coolest 370's in north America! But I'll let you guys and the judges at nationals decide that!

i feel ur pain.. i recently broke the radial head in my left elbow and was in a sling the past week and a half.. opted to drive an automatic for the time being and was hating every minute of it.. got the green light to slowly rehab and use my left arm yesterday.. i was so thankful to be back in the z!

My job keeps me away from my Z (more importantly my family and friends) about 8 months out of year. http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...images/sad.gif
Like now, hence my avatar.
I just left about a month ago, 7 left to go. http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...mages/sigh.gif
My longest stretch away from my Z was exactly a year.
That's why my 09 Z only has 26K on it.
It sucks but when I'm home I usually get a 4 month vacation.
Opens a lot of doors that a normal 2 week vacation wouldn't.

While I'm gone I do miss my Z but it isn't that bad, I'm used to it.

P's_Z 09-06-2014 06:55 AM

Wow! And here i thought i had it bad, crying over a few mealsly days while you guys have had it worse.

You guys are my heroes :icon17:

i miss my z when i'm away too... in fact, i miss it when it rains... it's been a very rainy season in ne ohio... i feel like i haven't driven it at all and winter's right around the corner... sucks :(

Joepro 09-06-2014 09:01 AM

Sold my boosted Z 2 months ago...still hate myself for it. Been sports car shopping on the net for a month...the itch is bad...all roads are leading back to a Z...even if it is "dated" and under powered...

kenchan 09-06-2014 11:10 AM

im kinda use to it. i only drive the car on the weekends and 5-6months out of the year the car is hibernating. :D

i have other hobbies.

Justice97 09-06-2014 01:42 PM

Went to coast a month or so ago and took the girlfriends lexus.

Did not miss Z.

Knew she was cool and safe in garage not getting sand all over her.
