how to access bcm
 

Is there a way to access the BCM? I don't have Nav, so don't have the touch screen interface, but would like to adjust things like auto headlight, selective door unlock, intelligent key on/off, headlight on delay after switching off the engine, etc.....


I dont wanna have to go to the dealer everytime I adjust such minor settings.

Would hardware like access port or uprev also hack into the bcm or do they only go to the ecu?

Also, ideally, I would also like to be able to override the riduculous canadian drl thing so I dont have to run the full complement of headlights and taillights at full power all the time even in a July afternoon with the sun in the middle of the sky! Would this also be adjustable via the bcm?

the ridiculous Canadian DRL is the law here.... if you want to disconnect it.. it's all done near the battery.

How? Does it use separate electrical circuit from normal headlight?

Also, other cars use REDUCED power lights for drl. Why couldn't nissan do the same as opposed to running full power lights all over, esp. with xenon lightbulbs that already tend to have a short lifespan anyway.

i forgot how but my friend connected it to pass inspection b/c he bought the car from the states.. google it or something..... he was talking to me about it the other day.. all done near the Battery.
