At about 45K miles the lower half of the engine needed to be replaced under warranty. My Z does not like the heat at all. Before I installed an oil cooler the engine would get boggy when the temperature reached 80. Even now the performance will suffer noticeably during the summer. After a clutch replacement my Z is running really well currently and the service department at the dealership have been very helpful throughout all these incidents. Everything was covered under warranty. BTW, it is my daily driver, which I even drive in the Colorado snow; Blizzaks are amazing! |
If I had a Nismo I would put on Motodyne ART pipes, G3 intake, Uprev tune, and drive it like I stoled it. They're so damn cool from the factory I think that's all they need. To the OP, they're reliable too. Some CSC issues, but covered for the first three years. Keep your clutch fluid clean.

I hate cleaning off the slopper marks left from ricers droolin' on it. :shakes head:

The suspension on the NISMO can feel a bit rough at times on a daily-driver. I don't mind it, but I'm sure other people might.

Drive a GMC 3/4 ton 4/4 diesel truck and you Nismo will feel like a feather. Serious...I own both :rofl2:

It's not like they pulled the expression "Rides like a truck" out of thin air... :D

Bypassed the steering wheel lock before it failed. No issues with my 2010 Nismo at 17,000 miles. So far the CSC has held up but will upgrade it along with the clutch in the near future.

The 2015 NISMO is faster 4.6secs 0-60

2015 is the way to go I think! The older Nismos are just awesome, but the interior just kills me, way too plain, if the Nismo came with Touring I would own one today.

The things I hate about it:
The rear diff doesn't come with the finned diff cover from factory(wtff?) The interior is bland as hell. NEEDED to come with the 2015 seats from factory For some reason the fact thag my "O" on the rear badge isn't red like I feel like it needs to be bothers the hell out of me Would've liked a nicer radio and Bluetooth for the money. Things I like: EVERYTHING! (except the things I hate of course) I have missed the living hell out of mine. So much that its not even the same car mechanically aside from brakes but I love the aesthetics of the car and the "exclusitivity" of having one of 600 cars made in said year. Ultimately people can bi+ch and bicker about the price difference but how much extra did we really spend at the end of the day? 6k? 7k? Most guys here walked with theirs for damn near invoice at 37.5-38.5 vs a touring around 32-33. For a fully painted body kit and some revamped performance that's really not too bad guys. |
