Still struggling to justify a new 2014 370Z

I have a 2010 base coupe, black with 41k miles. Ever since the local dealer offered a new 2014 black base coupe plus $9000 difference, I am tempted to buy a new one since all my previous few cars were bought used.

I posted for the opinions here a month or so ago and it was sort of unanimous that it was silly to pay $9000 for an identical car, except for very minor exterior changes.

A few days ago, the dealer called, said he would sell me a sports package car for the same $9000 difference, maybe a $1000 less if I would bring my car over, that someone was ready to buy my car. I guess the young man could not get financing so the deal fell through and the sports package requires a $10000 difference.

I should be happy with my car but I still keep looking for deals to get into a new one, that $9k is not so bad. There seem to be some doctors on this list, can you help me??

Forget what anyone says. Do what you want, you want a new one ? Do it.

I would wait for the new design coming out in 16 if it does happen. Then pick up a 15 at year end. This will give you some time to knock down some negative equity and then the choice of either.

Just do it. You've been wanting someone in here to talk you into it and if it's the car you want get it. I had a 2011 silver sport touring but wish I had black. I just recently upgraded to a 2014 black sport touring.
You drive the thing every day it should be what you really want.

A new design with a V6 coming out??? Moreover, I simply think that there are other cars, from the Porche to the Vette to the FRS and such but I happen to like the exterior styling of the 370Z better than any other car.

The 370z has the best butt of any car in the market!!!!

Nope, lost me right there! The car looks good, but lacks a little bit of umph.

For me, $9000 for some minor cosmetic changes wouldn't be worth it. But add in the Sport package and it sounds a whole lot better. If you've got the $9K to spend, go for it.

Last time you asked, I said buy it! Not going to tell you again.....and by the way.....I'm a real fake doctor!

Just wrap it if it not the color you want or respray. So how does this program work? I got. Email from nissan saying they want my car blah blah. I just have 5k left to pay on my car do the just add the difference to your existing amount owed then finance that or am I missing something?

aszyd 07-26-2014 11:38 PM

If you are having doubts about the purchase, just don't do it. It shouldn't take a forum of enthusiasts to convince you one way or the other.

What are the reason(s) stopping you from buying the new car? Something is obviously holding you back.

New cars are terrible investments. I'm not sure why anybody would buy one. Having said that, mine is a 2014.

Follow the gut feeling. That feeling knows best.
