As far as I know, the Z35 will have a few engine options and broad price range. Z is going semi-global.

Then why was the most recent article interview with nakumara saying they don't even know if there will be a next gen Z. If there is they really have to do some research to make it an idx z type car which they haven't even confirmed or started developing yet.

Basically there is no next gen z confirmed , nissan knows they can't sell as many as frs and mustang and they admitted they need better mpg. I smell a brz competitor in like 2018 lol it's 2014 right now. Sucks because I'm in the market for a 35$,000 or under sporty car. If I wasn't saving for house I would get an m228i now.

Yes M235i and definitely different from 335i. M235i is a smaller, 2 door, higher horsepower/tourque car. 335i is a larger 4 door with less umph.

My friend actually ordered a 235 and will be doing European delivery in November. He was almost going to get a 228 until I convinced him to not be a wuss. Is the m235 really a M car? It' snot listed with the other Ms on the BMW website. I thought it was just basically a 2 series equivalent of the 335.

You may have done your friend a favor, he'll appreciate the extra power.

I'm not sure if it's a true M car in the BMW sense of the word, regarding it's suspension and driving manners but it's definitely more powerful than the 335i. Maybe DSTLR can chime in, as he has one. There is supposed to be an M2 coming out within the next year or so..

brucelidat 10-09-2014 05:29 PM

Is it more powerful than the 335? I thought they shard the same engine and my friend said the 335 wasn't much heavier, just a bit bigger than he wanted.

Magic Bus 10-09-2014 06:13 PM

I'm pretty sure it's the same engine, just tuned differently. M235i, 320 hp, 330 tq. 335i, 300 hp, 300 tq. M235i is only about 60 lbs lighter.

The car magazine guessers are saying next M2 will come with an increase of approx 30-50 hp/tq plus a sportier suspension.

There are M packages like the M235i
And actual M cars like the upcoming M2 and current M4.
