Rapid clicking/ticking noise while turning all the way
It would be great if someone can help or have any idea.
Car: 2009 with 50,000KM Complete Stock Issue: Rapid clicking/ticking when the turning the wheel all the way to the right (clicking coming from driver-side wheel). Only clicks when the wheel is turned all the way. No sound in normal turns. Initial thought - Wheel Bearing Issue. Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance. |

CV joint probably.

Well Yamaha if it's coming from REAR area it's probably the spline from Axle into wheel hub that's making the noise. Most on here either take the wheel and nut off and pull the hub off the rear axle and clean and regrease with hi temp grease. Others take it to the shop and have it done. If it's the front I don't know. I do know wheel bearings if they're failing make noise at any speed, raise the front end and spin the tire, you'll feel it for sure.

Thanks for all the answers.
Most likely it's the wheel bearing, but strangely only has the sound when it's fully turned. Jacked up the car and tried spinning it with wheel turn and "nothing". No leaks or anything. And the car only has 50,000 KM (KM not MILES) on it. |
