Accelerator pedal

I have a 2013/14 model 6mt. Only had it about a month and still getting used to it.The other day i was just sitting in it and was wondering how far i had to push the accelerator pedal down before i hit the floor.
On my last car it was quite a long way but the 370z has quite a short movement.Anyway i pushed it to what i thought was all the way down.but then i found it had a bit more to go,almost like a kick down on a automatic.
Is this normal and does pushing it that extra bit give you any more power. Is it to activate the warp drive ? lol

You can engage warp drive only while moving. When going about 75 mph (or whatever that speed equivalent is in your backward country), engage the clutch, push down on the shifter, move it hard to the right and then back. Release the clutch as fats as you can.

Note: this is theoretical and has not been tried yet. You can be the first.

Actually, do not try this.

I just tried it in my '09 7AT and pedal resistance seems to be very consistent throughout the range of travel. Definitely no sudden increase. Check your carpet for interference with the pedal.

heehee 40 years ago, pumping the pedal like that would have flooded the car.

I only pressed it down the once.but its like you reach the full extent of the pedals travel but then you push a bit harder and it moves another inch. I have the same thing on the lorry i drive at work but thats an auto and when you push the accelerator that extra bit it changes down a gear. just seems strange to have on a manual ???

I highly suggest you and limeybastard get together and have a party.

I think the flux capacitor is a Nismo + option. Last I heard Z1 is working an aftermarket version that gets warp 10, which as we all know, is one better than the theoretical limit.

There is no kickdown lever on the 7AT. Like the throttle, the transmission is "fly-by-wire". The only mechanical connection to the 7AT is the parking mechanism - everything else is done with electrons and magic.
