Never had issues before but the bolt right under that wasn't even lined up in the hole properly so it must have just fell down. The reason I feel it was tampered with is that I drove back from Houston after getting the lights done and had no issues all week up until yesterday.

Anyway, I got someone to shimmy it back into place until I can replace it.

I parked next to this bad boi this morning at work. I asked him if he could take me to the year 2020 to see what the next Z was going to be but he was out of plutonium.

Working on a little project. It should keep my jack points in good shape.

i just use a piece of 1/2" or 3/4" thick 2" or so wide oak on the platform of my hydraulic.
no scratches or bent pinch weld.

I had been using a small piece of 2x4 pine. It kept them in good shape but was getting beat up pretty good.

A hole saw would make this a lot easier

you mean to make a slot down the center? like the puck adapter?

but yah, the point of my wood adapter wearing away is to keep the weak
point on the adapter side and not the car... although ive been using the
same piece of oak for the last 2yrs... :D

i was thinking about slotting it. But i want the majority of the weight to be supported on the seam, rather than the sheet metal near the seem.

i dont know if you know this, but there is a slight hump behind the pinch
weld behind the jackpoints. if you make a slot, most of the weight will still
go on the hump.

Jerggy13 08-01-2014 05:52 PM

I was unaware of the hump. Will have to take a closer look ;)

Just finished up at Z1. 322 to the wheels in high humidity. Baseline was 296. The temperature wasn't bad though. They are going to post a video at some point. Back to Florida!

Thought i would show my modded cat litter car wash bucket system. Pull out strainer keeps the wash mitt off the bottom and lets sediment through.

I have been using this system for several years. Do not worry the bucket has been washed out thoroughly before every use.
