I put the short-throw in on Friday. Everything feels different. Based on when I did it to my '09, not really, I couldn't tell a difference. I'm just glad to have some good, clean oil in there. I'll be at 30k in a few months, so it's just a couple extra things that I do not need to take care of.

Had a set of Michelin PSS mounted up and installed on the Z. I like 'em :)

Drove to the city for cars and coffee (2 hours thanks to construction).
Stayed 1 hour. Obtained cool photos of Ford GT500 amongst others.
Spoke to wiggins about his Z and how low it is.
Drove home (1.5 hours-lesson learned about route to city).
Met hubby on his way to dyno for his Harley.
Obtained more cool photos of a 1200 Sportser on a mobile dyno parked in between a bean and a corn field :p
Lunch then a meandering drive home following hubby and mini on the bike.
Clean bugs off Harry.
Wow.
Lotsa Z driving today :happydance: :driving:

Had a nice drive yesterday through the Daniel Boone National Forest around Laurel Lake. Part of the drive included a stint on a gravel road that was a little longer than I anticipated, so the resulting layer of gravel dust had to be dealt with this evening.
But I did get a nice picture in front of the Laurel Lake Dam (and evidence of an unforgivable parking job. In my defense, I was just there long enough to snap the picture).

Alright, I have to be a pest, what did the transmission fluid look like coming out? My differential fluid was like everyone else's filthy, but I'm curious about everyone's transmission fluid.
I've always heard that no one has ever had dirty tranny fluid. Mind you the viscosity and detergents/synchro lubes could have deteriorated, but it's not dirty. I'd expect engine oil to be dirty, it's cleaning and lubricating the engine, removing combustion by-products, but the diff fluid being so dirty really surprised me. Just curious about your transmission fluid condition after 30K.

A homeless panhandler told me he loved me when I got to a red light. He also walked towards the rear of the car and was crouched down near my rear bumper when the light turned green. :ugh:

Darkened, but clean. Pour some out and it is a light golden color that can be seen through. I can only assume they recommend swapping it out because of all the heat cycles it goes through. Makes me wonder if the service interval can be increased to 45 or 60k when using a high quality oil. Of course, the Redline was only $70 shipped from Z1 so that's not a ton of money to spend every 30k.

Did you give him any money? If not, who knows what he did to the car.
