So today I learned what everyone meant about the last three dots of gas gauge being useless. According to my range monitor, it took me 40 miles to drive what I know is 11 miles, while my gauge dropped from 4 dots to 1 during that trip. Fun times!

yah, i fill up when the dots are half unlit.

Never trust a fuel gauge. That's what trip odometers are for.

I'll start doing that, at least at a quarter tank. This will be my second fill up coming up, so trying to get closer to bottom to clear out whatever junk gas dealer filled up with for pick up (and driving from original dealer). I prefer Shell premium and the sooner I can get to all Shell in my tank, the better!

Concur, but too new to know what miles I'll get on a tank yet...

So when I got home tonight, I saw that my package was waiting for me. I ordered http://extremebuffing.com/images/opt...ean%2032oz.jpg Optimum opti-clean 32oz. This is a waterless-wash cleaning solution. The product is concentrated so you're going to have to dilute it 3:1. They also sell a larger version which I believe is a 128oz. container. I purchased the smaller one because I wanted to try it out and make sure I'd like it before purchasing the large container. I don't have access to the hose at my apartment anymore so the two bucket method for me is out the window, for now.

How does it work? The polymers in the solution liquifies the dirt, lifts it off the surface of the vehicle and allows you to use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe it off. I had a 28oz spray bottle laying around so I mixed the concentrate with water, went down and started spraying panel by panel. I used 6 towels for the entire car (folded into quarters) and one towel for drying and buffing (for no streaks and a high shine) The bottle lasted me throughout the entire car, wheels, door jams and the engine bay.

My car was dirty and I haven't washed her in a few weeks due to the rain and construction on the roads. I was looking into purchasing Garry Dean's Infinite Use Detail Juice and do his method of washing the car but his product starts off at $29.99 for an 8oz bottle where as the opti-clean is $14.99 for the 32oz bottle. With this bottle I can do 3-4 more washes before purchasing another bottle. I would normally wash my car every 15 days since it's my daily. So every 45 days or so I would need another container, that's not bad in my opinion for 15 bucks unless you purchase the larger one.

Is this a substitute for a 2 bucket wash, definitely not. I prefer scrubbing and using up all the suds however I was done with the opti-clean in about 25 minutes. No mess at the end and no cleaning rinsing out of the buckets. I would rate this product a solid 9/10.

right below the coolant reservoir is just oxidation I believe, it's not dirt.
