You are in need of those if you want to winter drive. I rarely see less than 40's down here in the Sunshine State.

Happy New Year, Mr. Mt. Tam.

Very, very busy last few days

Annual oil/filter change
New spark plugs
Front alignment adjustment

Then..

Replaced OEM steering wheel with a newer year OEM steering wheel that I had
Painted the scratched left side cover of the steering wheel in satin black and put it on the new steering wheel
Replaced scratched cruise control cover with a new one I already had

It was my first time removing a steering wheel, and I'm glad I did it. The scratches on the plastics and worn leather on my wheel really bothered me

Will get a pic up later

Someone sparked my interest and had me digging through my old photo album.

First Z, Black 1975 260z. Best friends car, 1980 280zx. This was back in 1986. First Car, 1969 VW Beetle that we painted flames on. The 280zx we painted a fade on it, silver, then light blue, then Dark Blue and Cleared it all in with a Base coat/ Clear coat. I have shared this before, it is my current project. 1975 280zt.

Took her up and did the "little dragon" on HWY 49 for the first time today. It was awesome:driving: Then gave her a bath later!

Told my 6 y.o. daughter I'd take her for a spin and a few minutes later she comes over and shows me an internet image search page... she searched for "cars that are z". Is that awesome or what!? :driving:

Drove the hubby to work, filled it up with gas, and cleaned what I could of the exhaust ends.

I will probably have the spoiler put on on Tuesday.

Rain: Good weekend for it

So, my 2010 NISMO is in the garage for clutch "surgery" and I won't get it back until tomorrow. We're talking a complete hydraulics swap out, or so I'm told.

In the meantime I'm driving an Altima which, truth be told, is a pretty comfortable ride and has some pep. But it's not even close to being the fun of a "Z." Nor is the soccer mom van I have to tool around in at work.

Rainy days and maintenance work always remind me why I bought the car in the first place -- once I'm able to get behind the wheel again.

Drove the Z more than 2 miles for the first time in over two weeks :driving: :D
