Went to a friends then on the way back i decided to go on a drive. Time melted as fast as my fuel gauge and I topped her up and got back.

I wish I had a more level garage then I'd get some chocks + jacks to learn how to change my own oil.

Experienced my first dose of fuel starvation..wasn't fun because I had no idea what the issue was at first.

well it's a bit weird.. i need to go out and get my dad's level and check how flush the ground is on the entirty. it's slanted downward toward the road enough that if i keep the clutch down or in neutral it will roll backwards when fully inside the garage... and then I'm at a crest of a hill too lol... I'm at a T-intersection and 2 parts of them go down a hill.

So correct me if i'm wrong... get race ramps, back the car up into the garage, put the ramps down, roll the car up the ramps, chock the wheels, dolly under and get'er done?

my biggest concern is getting crushed... or is this unfounded fear?:ughdance:

no, you want to raise the front so why fight gravity? just drive up onto the ramp facing the garage
so that the rear is always lower. :D then chock the rear tire.

since you can fire up your ride out in the street vs in the garage, you
can get a pretty loud exhaust without waking people up inside the house...lol

Ah make sense... now time to look for some ramps+filters+oil+dolly... any reccomendations? (i es in canadia... toronto specifically lol)

On another note my mom was commenting how she heard me downshifting (okay SRM downshifting) while coming up the hill and she 'loves how it sounds and made a brr vROOOOM' so noise shouldn't be an issue.

yah, if i was to buy from scratch again, i would get the Raceramps for lowered cars.
i currently have a generic rhino + extension i made. been working well, just kinda ghetto.

as for filters i use the black k&n filters, oil mobil1 5qt jug sold at walmart.
you can source the nissan plug washers for cheap on ebay. get the 10pack.

dolly? you mean a hydraulic jack? if you use ramps you wont need it.

 at your mom liking rev matching sound. :D

Waiting to hear from Insurance.

Hotel shuttle bus rammed me as I was checking in on Fri. night.
Foot long 6" wide dent on Drivers door.
Estimate includes pulling entire left side of car to blend paint.

No Z for 7 to 10 days.

:(:(:(:(:(:(

So with ramps will I need to bother with jack-stands?

By dolly i meant something to slide under the car to place the oil catch bin...
