Its called boost yo as you are probably aware. I owned a 13 speed 3 prior to the Z. I much prefer the NA engine to boost, now don't get me wrong when I floored the speed3 it was brown pants moments for sure however outside of boost it was just a typical 4 pot jap econo box with extremely harsh road noise and stiff suspension. Wife wouldn't even want to be passenger.

LOL, so true! It was the same with my WRX, felt like it was all happening and you were so damn fast! Don't get me wrong, it was fast and fun, but as you said, still a jap econo box at the end of the day.

No no no. Don't get me wrong it was an econo box when out of boost. In fact was worse as it felt harsh also when driving normally. Basically it wasn't my cup of tea. Although flooring it (WOT) did encourage a bit of oak on my side.

OP here, I really wish I would have been able to get some responses to my question! ;)

I reallyappreciate all your responses. Some great input. I'm leaning toward the Z, primarily because of the affordability. I've always been a big BMW fan, but they're hit or miss on reliability. Too busy right now to put up with a finicky car.

I do think the Z is a great looking car and I've been impressed with the test drives I've gone on. It seems for the most part everyone has been happy, which is great to hear. I think my Maxima and I were just not a good match, I've always owned sports cars and it just came up way short of my expectations. My fault though, I should have never expected much from a FWD car.

Thank you all again for your great responses.
