Like the OP I also prefer a digital speedometer. Most of the time my Garmin is in the speedometer mode pictured below. (Speedo is on the left of the Garmin display, nice and big). Works great.

Schrute, what model Garmin is that ? Does it require any special cable to be able to display the MPH? Also, is the mph readout accurate?

I also loved the digital readout on the 350. Just seemed easier to just glance over at the rpm's being it was the main focal point(or in the center) on the gauge cluster. When you own a Z you should only be glancing at the revs anyways.

Modshack that digital mph is so ghetto, id rather stick with the orginal one
