I'd like to see it in the other colors offered first. If the husband digs it in red, we'll most likely be getting it to replace his.

Why? You know fell fact this vehicle is end of line production right ?

wow carrying z34 into 2015...

new rustang is looking better everyday.... not to mention the c7.

Unbelievable nissan... I knew it was going to be just cosmetic, but deep inside I was hoping they'd pop the hood and we would see a detuned VR38 or at least a modest 20hp power bump from the current power plant.

I am pretty sure the older nismo will go up in value now, the z34 nismo v1 looks way more mature and aesthetic.

I'd be fine with that.:rofl2:

I agree redglare, except the rustang looking good part of course :)

The nismo is the "tastefully" modded version of the base z. If you bought this with the intentions of changing the exterior, it would be smarter to buy a base. Selling a top trim that needs to be modded to have appeal is counter productive.

I'd rather buy a 2014 nismo. They actually looked good. This looks like nissan slacked off on a redesign and thought they could fix it with some louvres and red stripes.

I like Mustangs. It's hard to beat 420+ hp for $30k in a car that looks good and handles OK. I only didn't get one because I see about 248 of them every day.

 I am aware. I said if the husband likes it - meaning he's fine with paying whatever, doesn't feel like he needs to mod, etc. It's his decision, not mine. I've got my 09 that I am in love with.

Yeah nissan hates us. Been asking for more power for years but they Keep trying to make cosmetic changes.

1. Nismo already had a body kit, what it didn't have is less weight and 400 NA engine. Because of the GT-R the Z will never have turbos

2. We already have aftermarket body kits.

The 350z and the GT-R both got horsepower bumps during production. Seriously?

That's all fine for ur hubby but I highly doubt the rest of the z crowd will be clamoring to buy a nismo that doesn't look good right out of the factory. Being a limited production car with a unique look is why no one wants to visually modify it. I just don't foresee your scenario being probable.

I'd be totally cool with 400NA. It just needs 400, I don't care how. 400 NA would be sweet.

2011 Nismo#91 05-16-2014 02:49 PM

You're not going to get 400NA without a much larger displacement, which for tax reasons won't work for japan.

ajperretta 05-16-2014 02:49 PM

And it needs an exhaust that actually makes it sound like a sports car. The nismo exhaust is better than the base but it still sounds weak and is super raspy.

People are getting about 375 hp at the crank right now with bolt on mods. There's gotta be something they can do to push 25 more.
