You got lucky. A few years ago I walked away from my bike for a few seconds and it rolled forward enough for the kickstand to flip up. $4800 in damages.

my first thought was the guy had an AT and left it in neutral and walked off. :icon17: when im working on my stereo in the garage, i use chocks. cause never know when i might bump that e-brake button and car starts rolling backwards. :D |
You got lucky!
I'm crazy about the e-brake. I normally don't park it in gear though unless I'm on an incline/decline. |

very long time ago i had a pos civic where the ebrake would loosen up after many hard ebrake pulls. since then my mind keeps thinking that even my Z's drum cable would loosen up after a while and so only use a snug pull, and put into gear. i rarely pull the ebrake REAL hard unless im on a steep incline. |

guilty of this too.
Also when you stick it into first, make sure you stick it in right. I half assed it once on a slight hill, soon as it got moving a bit it popped out. I was still in the car luckily. Learned to use the hand brake now, even if im in an auto and its 100% flat. |
