Couple threads I found for you. There is probably more, I am lazy though.

Get em. Great 3 season tire with summer performance that MAXIMIZES wet traction. You are in Florida where it rains and DUMPS rain at times. You will be pleased.

If not these then the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Cant go wrong either way if you dont mind the cost!

I have the Pilot Sport A/S +. Excellent wet and dry traction. You won't be disappointed.

I run these tires on my wife's Juke. They grip quite well in all conditions -- so far.

I currently have a set of AS3 on my 09 370Z. Got a full set for about $1167 at Discount Tire here in Orlando.

My conclusions:
The wet traction seems to be pretty good. While I haven't had them long enough to run them through what I call "Monsoon Season" down here, they seem to shed the water quickly, and I've not had any hydro-planing issues, even while driving through puddles. Overall handling is good as well.

For regular dry handling, I would rate them as well as the Bridgestone Potenzas that the Sport models come with from the factory. Though they are not run-flats, and they do seem to have just a little bit more sidewall roll in heavy cornering, for obvious reasons.

All in all, I am pleased with my choice, though it is arguably still too early to say whether or not they will last the 30k or so miles that Michelin says they will.

thanks for the info. im located in orlando too.
my major criteria is off the line acceleration. should i try the AS3 or go with PSS?

Drakonis GTR 04-11-2014 05:49 PM

I went with the AS3 because they are an all season rated for more mileage (6 yr/45k miles vs. PSS 6 yr/30k miles) and were a little bit cheaper.

The PSS were my second choice, only because of the warranty and being considered a summer tire. The only issue I know of when it comes to summer tires is that when temps drop, they tend to get harder, and lose some of their traction. While that is not necessarily a big issue with us here in CFL, it does sometimes get cold enough to make a difference.

If you are looking more for the performance end of it, you may want to go PSS. My Z is my DD, so I went with the all season AS3. Either way I would say that you are making a good choice.
