Did you get a "key" with your 370Z?

I already did a search and found nothing, so did anybody get a key with their car? I was reading the owners manual and it says you can lock the glove box with a key. Also there is a key hole in the door handles so that's why I'm asking. What if you lose your key fob or the batteries die, how do you open the car doors? I didn't get one, did any of you?

nogoodname 09-07-2009 05:15 PM

yes you did get a key

WhiteZed 09-07-2009 05:18 PM

Way to tell him where it was. Your key is actually a part of your fob. There is a release on the back of the fob, and you just pull the key out.

frost 09-07-2009 05:18 PM

The key is inside the fob sir.

I'm not sure what lame dealers you guys are buying from, but I got about an hour long top to bottom on the car after I bought it from the dealer, including where the key is :D

Totally, in fact, is was so detailed it was annoying because I wanted to gtfo of there and drive!

skydvr 09-07-2009 07:15 PM

The dealer I got mine from didn't know much about the car. I had to tell them to remove the shipping blocks from the front springs, something I learned in this forum, because they didn't know anything about it.

Same here. But the car is fairly rare in PR. Only 2 models were imported (I think 3 models now....I think they also brought in the Nismo). The dealer told me that one of the differences between the non-sport and sport was that the sport was lighter because it had aluminum hood and trunk. The non-sport was steel. I just nodded and thanks.

My salesman went over the car with me too (even programmed my cell phone into the Bose system), but he never mentioned the key buried in the key fob. I was going to call the dealer ask what happened to the keys I was supposed to get but I discovered the switch on the back of the key fob before I made the call (thankfully).

bullitt5897 09-08-2009 12:21 AM

You dont need the key just slam that lil fob in/out the fobgina like your daddy taught ya!

;) hehehe

on topic yea dealers are really dumb I had my sales guy while I was getting my service check up done call me and asked me to meet him outside so I could help him sell the car to someone else LOL I was like "get the sport package no matter what and you can get invoice... trust me. ;)" all in front of the sales guy hehe. The guy asked the typical questions and I gave him a mini review of the car :D.

I thought that was a picture demonstrating how to make more keys.
