lol from what Ive heard is that the type of dyno they use at that shop reads higher than most others, either way it works for me :happydance:

Nope. These things dyno between 270-280whp stock on a dynojet. 305whp would mean you're seeing an 8% drivetrain loss, and that's just not realistic.

we all need to dyno on the same dyno you tested on with the same calibrations and settings

Mine dynoed 268 stock. Hit 310 with cai,HFCs, fcb, mod mani, tune. All at z1

Awesome info on the 3 different dyno types...seems like dynapacks are the standard in japan, didn't know that

Measurement uncertainty and calibration date could play into this number. Some dyno's read much higher than others.

Otherwise, you have a great benchmark number to work from if you do mods and go back to the same dyno to check your results. Go to another shop with a Mustang dyno or one that corrects to SAE you may not see the numbers you are expecting.

^^^ the above makes me sound like a **** to the OP. Sorry about that. This 305whp could be 100% legit too!

There is considerable consistency among dynojets -- no correction is perfect (as I have documented in some detail), but dynojet readings are all based on the rate that the known dimensions of a rotating drum are accelerated, so there are simply fewer fudge factors.

Other than that, I have found good evidence that (on NA cars) SAE corrections can be considered a "lower bound" while STD is more of an "upper bound".

On FI cars, even STD is conservative given that no correction adequately takes into account the actual temperature of compressed air.

Anyway, in short, dynojet numbers are highly consistent; values obtained from other dynos may be equally "correct", but they will be very difficult to compare meaningfully across dynos.

i just had my 2011 stock auto Z on Mustang Dyno yesterday. 261 hp, 217 torque. will post up sheet later
