Cargo Net

I am a little stumped on what is available or what you all are using for a cargo net? Any ideas? :google: has not been any help...

Thanks in advance.

I have been using g a motorcycle cargo net I picked at Habor Frieght. It was dirt cheap and covers the back half of the boot.

I've been using the 350Z cargo net in my 370Z for almost 5 years now, works great.

350Z Cargo Net on Amazon

That is much better than mine

I test fitted a bimmerdouche one yesterday.

Rather than a net (I'm more fond of hair nets in bouncing cars), I use a cargo bin thingy in the back:

$30 new on ebay.

SouthArk370Z 03-23-2014 08:30 AM

My setup is vaguely similar to H2O_Doc's "cargo bin thingy." I use plastic storage containers and some bungee cords. The lip on the bottom of the container "bites" into the carpet and keeps it from sliding around. I have a small one with flashlight, small inverter, &c in it that stays in the car and some other misc sized ones that I use as needed. The window shade cover keeps everything hidden so it doesn't look too White Trash-ish. :)

H2O_Doc 03-23-2014 08:41 AM

Mine is "Z" branded and added benefits include +5.236 whp, +4.283 ft/lbs of torque, and +6 points of charisma (driver AND car) for you D&D nerds.

I use the 350z cargo net as well. It works just fine. While it is not super snug, but snug enough to hold my grocery, backpack, camera bag, in place. If you don't mind replacing the snaphooks with smaller ones, that will make it more snug.

MarkGideon 03-23-2014 09:22 AM

I am using the 350Z net too. Purchased it from a member here. Just as said above, not really a tight fit, but works just fine.

Thank you everyone for your responses this is very helpful. I am going to get both a 350Z net and a plastic crate as some have suggested. I will leave the net in the car and add the crate as needed.

Thanks again,

Sterling

that's cool. i use a similar concept one by snapon in my dd. the thing about cargo nets is that i can tuck it under the trunk floor or glove box when not in use.... and 99% of the time i dont carry anything in my Z so only for that few times a season i want to take my tripod for snaps, i would use the net.

I've pondered getting the JDM net, which covers a lot more area, but is a lot more expensive.

I think the net can be as useful or more so in many instances. If you have lots of little things, the cargo box might win, but often the net will do and can be more convenient when you need space for something larger. I actually have both and the hooks make changing things easy.

I got one of these at Harbor Freight for $15 on sale. Works great in the Z and it folds up too when I want it out of the way.

The Cargo Box/Bin is very handy, my wife picked up two from Target. Pretty cheap and its pretty cool because it can be rearrange in smaller sizes.

kenchan 03-28-2014 03:51 PM

yah not having to worry about bottles falling over is a plus.

A motorcycle cargo net that stretches from 15 x 15 to 45 x 45 is about $7
