Will the 7AT 370Z have launch control?

I was just wondering if the 7AT will come with lauch control. If it does i might consider it, but so far its the 6MT for me

NO. The 7AT in the Z WILL NOT have a launch control feature. They have removed the Launch control feature from GTR so there's no way they will use it in any of their vehicle. 6MT with Rev match sounds pretty good to me

LOL that launch control has been a major headache for Nissan on the GT-R. I think they learned their lesson and won't put it on the Z.

I guess im going with the 6MT..... That is unless i am unable to learn to drive a stick

LOL..............there is no chance the Z will come with this feature..........it was a total FAIL from Nissan.....ha....turn it on and there goes the warranty

AK370Z 12-22-2008 08:33 PM

I totally disagree with you on that statement. It's NOT a total fail from Nissan. People were ruining transmissions because they were doing 40, 50 or even 60 LCs a day with the GTR. People taking their car to the track with 200 miles on the odo and doing numerous one-after-another LC launches People who use it properly and don't abuse the system, their GTR is running perfect. Those who abuse it, ends up ruining their transmission.

EDIT: This thread isn't going anywhere. NO LC for the 370Z. More info on the LC and GTR transmission failures can be found at Mygtr.com. Thread locked.

but why give this feature in the first place.......... is it not tempting to use it?

Bragging rights for 0-60 & 1/4 mile performance--Nissan was under allot of pressure to outperform the 911 turbo in this regard.
