Number of each color
 

I was wondering if there is a way to determine yet how many of each color were released by the factory. I come from the Miata community and we were able to contact Mazda and find out how many of each color were produced, what number our particular car was in the build order, etc. Just wondering if anyone has tried to do this with Nissan.

I am interested because my Z is Chicane Yellow which I believe is the most rare color and has been discontinued for 2010.

I will see if I can contact Nissan, but if someone knows an easy way to do this I would be very grateful.

Yellow will be the most uncommon colour esp as the years go on since this is the only year the yellow is available. IIRC there was a single year for the yellow with the 350Z as well - 35 year anniversary maybe? Rare but doesn't seem to increase the resale value...

If the colors were evenly distributed and only 9K were sold, this would mean there are about 1,285 in yellow. My guess is they weren't evenly distributed and since real people set the numbers, the distribution will be in round numbers. My guess is 500-800 Chicane Yellow cars were shipped. I would assume the most common colors would be black, white, silver.
